Yoga is more than just poses; it is a way of looking at the world. Here are some reflections from my practice, travels, and the search for inner stillness.

A moment of peace and meditation in Khajjiar, also known as the mini-Switzerland of India. Nature is the greatest yoga studio.

I consider my spectacles a superpower. When I feel my mind racing, I sometimes take them off. The world becomes a blur, forcing me to stop analyzing and just be present, which brings an instant sense of calm.

Did you know the main textbook of yoga, the Patanjali Yoga Sutras, doesn't actually list a catalog of asanas? The focus is on mastering the mind. Asanas are just one of the eight limbs designed to prepare the body for that deeper work.

How many asanas do you think are in the main textbook of yoga? The answer might surprise you. It's not about the number of poses, but the depth of your practice and the stillness of your mind.

About Miscellaneous

My practice goes beyond the mat, focusing on how we handle the noise of daily life. When I step into nature or take a quiet moment, it is not to escape, but to gain the clarity needed to return to my center. If you feel constantly overwhelmed, you will find that these simple shifts in perspective help more than any complex posture ever could.

Beyond the Poses

When I speak of yoga, I am not talking about achieving the perfect stretch or mastering a complex inversion. The foundational texts, like the Patanjali Yoga Sutras, do not even list a catalog of asanas. Instead, they focus on yogashchittavrittinirodhah—the stillness of the mind. That is what I aim to teach. Whether you are dealing with burnout, constant anxiety, or just the feeling that your mind is a traffic jam of thoughts, the goal is to become a sakshi (witness) to those thoughts rather than being controlled by them.

The Importance of Environment

My travels and time in places like Khajjiar remind me that nature is the ultimate teacher. Sometimes, we need to strip away the distractions of the city, or even small habits like my ritual of taking off my spectacles, to see clearly. By reducing the visual noise, I reduce the mental noise. This is exactly what I bring into my classes at the YogaDhara studio in Rohini. We do not just exercise; we clear the clutter.

Practical Tools for Your Life

I use a blend of ancient wisdom and modern understanding to help you manage your mental state:

  • Pranayama: Using breathwork to anchor the mind.
  • Mindfulness: Learning to observe thoughts without judgment.
  • Physical Alignment: Using props and poses to release stored emotional tension.

If you are ready to stop just thinking about your life and start feeling it, let us talk about how to begin.

I am Tushar, and I teach because I know what it feels like to be lost. I do not use fancy jargon or sell perfection. I show you how to use yoga to handle your own mind, just as I do mine.
