Sound Space on Wheels: Bringing Music Education to Mumbai
We believe music should travel to where it is needed most. Our mobile classroom visits communities across Mumbai, turning local spaces into nurturing environments for children who might otherwise miss out on the joy of the arts.

About Sound Space on Wheels: Music for All
Our bus acts as a fully equipped classroom, carrying instruments and mentors directly to children in underserved neighborhoods. It is not just about teaching sur and taal but about creating a safe, consistent space where children can explore their emotions, build confidence, and find a sense of belonging through music.
We started 'Sound Space on Wheels' because we noticed that access to the arts is often limited by geography and resources. Our goal is to remove those barriers by bringing the music to the bastis. We pack the bus with instruments, passion, and patience, creating a weekly routine that children can look forward to. This initiative is entirely sustained by our community, including supporters who attend our fundraisers. We have seen firsthand how music builds focus, patience, and joy, whether it is during a casual session or a visit from artists like Shawn Mendes who joined us to sing with the children. We are deeply committed to this outreach because we believe every child deserves the chance to experience the therapeutic and transformative power of music.
