Winning 'Cakepreneur of the Year 2025' was a surreal moment, but the real magic happens daily in my Prabhadevi kitchen. It’s not just about the awards; it’s about the ten years of late nights, messy recipe failures, and finally perfecting the eggless, fondant-free textures you love. When you order from me, you get the same relentless energy that earned that title, ensuring every box that leaves my studio is as personal as it is delicious.
Life is funny. I started by watching baking shows and dreaming of pastries. Now, a decade later, I am running a studio in Prabhadevi and shipping desserts across Mumbai.
My journey hasn't been a straight line. There have been moments where I moped over failed recipes and times where I was absolutely exhausted. But then, an order comes in for a milestone celebration, or a customer tells me they trust my vision, and it reminds me why I started. That is the philosophy behind The Next Door Baker: real ingredients, no fake stuff, and definitely no fondant.
I believe desserts are memories. Whether it is my Kashmiri Kahwa Opera for a festive hamper or a simple mini bento cake, I want the taste to stay with you.
Why my kitchen is different:
- Eggless & Authentic: Every single item is 100% eggless. I focus on real, seasonal ingredients like Alphonso mangoes and top-notch Belgian chocolate.
- No Fondant: You will not find heavy fondant here. I use buttercream and ganache to keep the focus on flavor.
- Small Batches: I keep my batches small because that is the only way to ensure quality. It also means I can focus on the small details that make your cake or favor box special.
