My Creative Journey and Studio Space
Step into my Mumbai studio where dental tools have been replaced by paintbrushes and iPads, and every blank canvas is just waiting for a story.
My journey from a dentist to a full-time artist has been wild. This video shares a bit of my story, the self-doubt, the sleepless nights, and why it was the best decision I ever made.
This feature from CANVVS tells my story in a nutshell. It covers my switch from dentistry to design and how a single pair of custom Converse kicked off this whole adventure.
A typical day in my studio is a mix of creative chaos and focused work. This time-lapse shows me balancing digital design on my iPad with the hands-on process of creating custom art.
Here I am in my creative space, surrounded by paints, brushes, and a few works-in-progress. This is where I check emails and work on digital mockups for new projects.
A candid shot of me working on my laptop in the studio. Every project starts here, with research and sketching out ideas before I present them to a client.
Taking a moment between projects in my studio. You can see some of the custom sneakers I've worked on, which always serve as great inspiration for what's next.
Welcome to the mess! This is my paint station where all the hand-painting happens. It's a bit chaotic, but it's where the color and magic come together for every custom piece.
About My Journey & Creative Space
I don't believe in guessing games, so I always provide a digital mockup or rough sketch before I start painting. This lets you see the vision on screen first, ensuring we are aligned on the aesthetic and vibe before any permanent work happens on your sneakers, walls, or digital assets.
This is where the magic happens. My shift from a clinical dental practice to full-time creative work was not a sudden leap, but a process of finding what felt right. My studio in Mumbai is rarely tidy. It is filled with half-finished sneakers, drying paint, and my iPad where most of my digital illustrations and logos take shape.
I work across a few different mediums here. Sometimes that means creating high-resolution digital art for brands or personal prints. Other times, it means hand-painting complex designs on leather sneakers. Because I spent years in a structured profession, I appreciate a workflow that is clear and communicative. I keep things transparent with my clients, sharing updates and mockups throughout the project. Whether you are looking for a cyberpunk-style digital portrait or custom-painted wearables, the process starts with a conversation. We figure out your vibe, I draft a visual, and then we commit to the finish. It is a mix of street art culture and professional reliability. Let me know what you have in mind and we can build it together.
