Inside My Creative Studio & Process
Ever wonder where art actually happens? Welcome to my studio in Udupi. This is where I turn blank canvases into stories, one brushstroke at a time.
Art isn't always clean. Here I am on the studio floor, completely absorbed in the process of creating. This is where the passion for painting takes over.
A silhouette of an artist at the easel, lost in their work. This photo captures the quiet, focused moments of the creative process, where it's just me, the canvas, and the paint.
A wide-angle view of my studio, showing the gallery walls filled with various completed artworks. This space is both my workshop and my showroom, where every piece is on display before it finds a new home.
Another view of the studio, with an easel and painting in progress at the center. The space is organized to inspire creativity, with good lighting and my work surrounding me.
A creative shot of me working in the studio, framed by a ring light. This perspective shows the intersection of modern tools and traditional art forms in my daily process.
A short video showing the transformation of my studio space. It starts with the raw, empty room and transitions to the clean, finished gallery you see today, a testament to building a dream from the ground up.
This video documents the journey of setting up my studio. From drilling and construction to hanging the first paintings, it shows the hard work that went into creating this space.
An atmospheric video capturing the connection between my inspiration from nature, like the sea at sunset, and the work I create back in the studio. It's a glimpse into my life as an artist.
About My Studio & Process
This studio is more than a workspace; it is where I handle everything from detailed portrait restoration to planning custom wall murals. I maintain an environment that balances traditional preservation techniques with a raw, creative energy. If you are looking for an original canvas painting, this is exactly where your vision comes to life.
My studio in Bannanje, Udupi, is where the noise of the world stops and the work begins. Whether I am using professional-grade heavy body acrylics for a vibrant portrait or applying conservation methods to restore a painting from 1935, my goal is the same: durability and raw emotion.
The Creative Environment
I don't believe in mass production. Every square foot of this space is dedicated to original, hand-painted work. You will find canvases drying, brushes soaking, and the occasional mess that comes with real art. I use this space to test new textures and experiment with the bold colors that define my style—especially when I am channeling the energy of Kambala or local folklore.
My Process
When you commission a piece, I treat it as an extension of my own journey. From the initial sketch to the final UV-protective varnish, I manage every stage. I specialize in:
- Art Conservation: I carefully bring old, damaged pieces back to life.
- Canvas Work: My standard canvases use acid-free priming, ensuring they last over 100 years.
- Texture Application: I use palette knives alongside traditional brushes to create the depth and movement you see in my animal and cultural portraits.
If you want to see where your art is made or have a specific idea you want to discuss, feel free to drop me a message. My collection is always changing, and I am usually working on something new.
