I don’t believe in just copying pictures. My technique workshops are designed to break down skills—like cyanotype printing, color theory, or travel journaling—into small, manageable steps so you can finally find your own style.

A look inside our "Understanding Colour" workshop for adults. We explore the theory and application of color in a fun, hands-on environment.

Who said learning color theory can't be fun? Here we are playing with neutral colors and discovering the magic of intensity contrast. It is all play, no stress.

Monochromatic means one color plus black and white. But as you can see from the work of our adult color theory class, it is anything but boring.

Here are three simple and fun techniques to draw trees: using curly crayon trunks, blowing watery paint with a straw for branches, and dabbing with earbuds to create lush foliage.

Ready to make water come alive on paper? Here are three easy ways to draw water, from using crayons to create a resist to adding soap to your paint for depth.

A glimpse of Day 1 at our printmaking workshop. Students are learning to transfer their designs and prepare their plates for printing.

Day 2 of our printmaking workshop. Students are exploring the art of linocut, seeing their creative process and stunning prints come to life.

Announcing our 2-day Cyanotype Workshop. Dive into the magical art of creating stunning blue-toned images using sunlight, photos, and botanical elements.

Capture your travels in vivid detail with our 4-class Travel Journaling workshop. Learn to document experiences through sketches, notes, and mixed media.

About Technique Spotlights & Special Workshops

Don't worry about buying expensive gear before you start. For these one-off sessions, I provide all the materials at the studio, from quality brushes and paints to canvases. We keep the groups small so I can personally guide you through the process, whether you are a complete beginner or looking to solve a specific creative block in your work.

My studio in Prabhadevi is not about churning out pretty pictures that look like everyone else's. It is a space for actual skill development. When we run technique spotlights—like our weekend printmaking workshops or color theory sessions—the goal is to give you a specific tool you can take home and use for years.

Why focus on techniques?

Most people jump straight into finishing a painting and get frustrated when it does not look professional. By isolating skills, we remove that pressure. For example, in our 'Understanding Colour' workshop, we do not just paint pretty landscapes. We play with neutral intensity and contrast, helping you understand why a color works or why it looks muddy. This is the difference between copying a tutorial and actually knowing how to paint.

What to expect

Each workshop is hands-on. Whether you are learning how to draw flowing water with soap-resist techniques or experimenting with sun-printed cyanotypes, you are getting your hands dirty. These sessions are perfect if you:

  • Feel stuck in your current creative practice.
  • Want to try a new medium like oil, acrylic, or printmaking without committing to a full course.
  • Are a professional looking to destress in a supportive environment.

I believe in the messy part of art. Mistakes are not failures here; they are just ideas changing their mind. By the time you leave the studio, you will walk out with a finished piece of work and, more importantly, a new way to look at your canvas. We keep our groups limited to ensure you get direct feedback on your brushwork and mixing techniques, making it as close to a private mentorship as a group setting allows.

I started this studio because I saw too many students getting stuck trying to copy what they see online. My team and I are here to help you get messy, experiment with different mediums, and actually enjoy the process of creating something new.
