I almost forgot this was the whole point: to learn from each other, to share stories, and to see the world through different eyes. This is the community we build in the studio.
From Impressionism and Buddha-inspired art to watercolors and pop art, our adult classes are a playground of styles and ideas. Here, adults get to play with paint and find their creative joy.
A sketchbook is not for perfect work; it's a playground for ideas. I encourage all my students, from toddlers to adults, to embrace the mess, test out colors, and explore without fear of making mistakes.

We don't expect you to walk in with a masterpiece. In fact, most people who join us start by being intimidated by their own sketchbook. Our studio is built on the idea that the mess is where the real learning happens. You will not find rigid rows here, but people exploring watercolors, oils, and mixed media in a space that feels more like a living room than an academy. We value the discussion around the work as much as the work itself, which is exactly why the vibe here is the opposite of an intimidating art school.
Art is a way of thinking, not just a skill you copy from a tutorial. At our Prabhadevi studio, we strip away the pressure of perfection to focus on the process of creation. What happens in our studio?
It is rarely quiet. Our sessions are defined by collaboration, sharing stories, and the collective energy of people learning to see the world differently. You might be working on an oil painting while your neighbor experiments with charcoal, and the cross-pollination of ideas is what makes our community unique. We keep our groups small specifically so you get individual feedback on your technique, not just general instructions.
The space
Located in Prabhadevi, Mumbai, the studio is air-conditioned and stocked with easels and art supplies. We provide the atmosphere and the mentorship, while you bring your curiosity. From tea-fuelled discussions about gallery walks to intense sketching sessions, we emphasize the social aspect of art. You are not just joining a course; you are joining a group of people who value the act of making over the product of making.

I am Purnima. I started this space because I wanted a home for art that was not about copying pictures or chasing perfection. My team and I focus on getting you to think, experiment, and genuinely enjoy the messy, beautiful process that comes with creating something real.
