About Mixed Media & Creative Exploration
In our mixed media sessions, we move beyond just pencil and paper. You will learn how to combine disparate elements—from hand-made paper pulp and collage cut-outs to textural overlays—to build genuine depth in your work. We provide all the specialized supplies, from professional acrylics to printmaking inks, so you simply show up ready to experiment, cut, paste, and layer.
Why Mixed Media?
Mixed media art is about the freedom to combine materials that don't typically belong together. In our studio, we use this approach to help students—whether they are young learners or adults—move past the fear of the blank page. By integrating collage, monochromatic pattern studies, and manual printmaking, you learn to see materials differently.
What You Will Explore
- Collage & Assembly: We teach you how to build a composition using paper cut-outs, creating balance between positive and negative space. It is a fantastic way to understand layering and perspective.
- Texture & Pulp: Ever made paper from scratch? We go through the process of making paper pulp, letting you understand the physical foundation of your canvas.
- Stylised Monochromatic Studies: We strip away the complexity of color to focus purely on form, pattern, and composition. This is a core discipline for any artist wanting to improve their sketching and observational skills.
- Experimental Layering: Inspired by modernists like Moholy-Nagy, we experiment with light and transparency, often incorporating unexpected materials like colored cellophane and found objects into our pieces.
The Studio Experience
Located in Sector 50, Gurugram, our space is designed for flow. We operate in small batches of 6–10 students, ensuring you get enough space to spread out your work and enough guidance to master each technique. We do not do 'copy-paste' art. Every project is an exercise in personal decision-making, where we act as facilitators to help you find your unique voice.
Whether you are looking for a weekend creative escape or a consistent, long-term program to build your portfolio, our mixed media modules offer a hands-on, grounding experience that connects you to the tactile side of art.
