About Creative Crafts & Mixed Media
You do not need to be an artist to start here. In our mixed media sessions, we focus on tactile experiences—whether it is feeling the 'shadu maati' (organic clay) between your fingers or experimenting with squeegee painting. These classes are designed to help you unwind and express yourself in a relaxed space, regardless of your previous experience.
Art is so much more than just a brush on canvas. My goal at Grahin is to provide a space where you can explore different ways of creating, whether you are a toddler learning about shapes or an adult picking up a craft for the first time.
In our mixed media workshops, we dive into projects that are hands-on and experimental. We teach pottery basics like hand building and wheel throwing, letting you shape functional pieces like mugs and bowls. We also explore techniques like block printing, creating 3D murals, and even nature-based collage art where we use leaves and organic forms to build new compositions.
We keep our batches small, usually around 10 to 15 students, because I believe art needs 'prem' (love) and personal attention. If you are worried about your skills, please don't be. The focus here is on the process—the way the paint flows or the texture of the clay—rather than just the final product. We want you to enjoy the 'joy of learning' without the pressure of perfection.
Our studios in Dadar, Ghatkopar, and Thane are set up to be a second home for our creative community. Whether you are looking for DIY art projects to try at home or want to dive deep into hobby workshops, you will find a supportive group of people here. Join us to discover a hobby that lets you switch off, relax, and create something tangible with your own hands.
Grahin Art Institute
I started Grahin in 2011 because I believe art is for everyone. Whether you are 4 or 70, I want to help you paint your dreams and find joy in the process. We are a family, not just a school, and I am here to guide you step-by-step through every technique.
