About My Journey: Studio, Events & Awards
My studio process is rarely the romantic, spotless setup you might imagine. It is a space of what I call purposeful oscillation, where I constantly shift between large-scale commissions and the quiet, technical work of practicing proportions. You will often find the table covered in a mess of rough edits and charcoal sketches—these aren't failures, but the essential, messy steps that lead to a final, finished piece.
Behind the Canvas
Transitioning from an analyst role to a full-time artist four years ago was not just a career change, but a complete shift in lifestyle. This journey has taught me the value of risk-taking and the importance of 'slow living'—taking the time to truly explore a concept before committing it to a canvas.
The Creative Process
My studio in Bangalore is where most of the magic happens, but it is also where the discipline is formed. Whether I am preparing for a flea market or working on a client commission, the methodology remains the same: sketching, failing, adjusting, and refining. I believe in experimentation, which is why I often mix mediums like acrylics, clay, and spray paint to see how they interact. It is unpredictable, but that is exactly how I grow.
Milestones & Community
My work has taken me to unexpected places—from painting live at TEDx IIM Bangalore to seeing my designs featured on coffee packaging. These moments are rewarding, but the core of my practice remains the community. Participating in local art markets across Bangalore allows me to connect directly with people, hear their stories, and understand how art influences their own spaces.
Why I Paint
I don't just create art to fill a wall; I paint to tell a story or capture a memory. My goal is to build self-awareness through the creative process. Whether it is a mural or a small canvas, I approach every project with the same dedication to detail that won me the Best Art Entrepreneur award. Art is a practice of continuous learning, and I am grateful for every lesson the process has taught me so far.
