About My Originals: Surrealism & Storytelling
When you choose an original painting, you are inviting a specific story into your space. Every piece I create is finished with a protective artist varnish to guard against dust and fading, and I hand-pack each canvas myself to ensure it arrives at your doorstep ready to hang. These works are not reproductions; they are one-of-a-kind originals that capture a fleeting moment of my own self-discovery and creative exploration.
My originals are where I step away from client briefs and dive into my own narrative. Whether it is a piece like 'Recuperation,' which explores themes of renewal through an astronaut in a tropical landscape, or a work depicting female strength, my focus remains on storytelling.
The Creative Process
I primarily work with acrylics on high-quality stretched canvas, but I often experiment with layers of clay, texture paste, and gold leaf. This gives the paintings a 3D tactile quality that changes as the light hits them throughout the day. Because these are original works, I obsess over the finish. Every painting is double-coated with Arfina artist varnish, which ensures that your piece remains protected from UV rays and dust for years to come.
