Behind the Brush: My Artistic Journey

A look at the moments, memories, and milestones that shaped my path as an artist, from my college days to the workshops I host today.

I was so honored to receive the Distinguished Alumna Award from my beloved Maitreyi College. If you told the college version of me this would happen someday, I would have never believed it!

Little Tanvi would be so proud. Being invited back to my alma mater, Ramjas International School, as the Chief Guest of Honor was a surreal and humbling experience.

On stage at my old school's annual prize distribution ceremony. It felt like a full-circle moment, standing on the stage where I once received awards as a student.

Back in my old classroom! It was so nostalgic to sit at these desks again, this time with a whole new perspective on my journey.

A view from the audience as I was being welcomed on stage. Walking back into my school and feeling all the love and memories was truly magical.

Standing next to the event banner with my name on it. A moment of immense gratitude for my school, my teachers, and my family who have always supported me.

Sharing the stage with my mom, one of the most important people in my life. This milestone is as much hers as it is mine.

About this collection

Walking back into my old school, Ramjas International, to stand on the same stage where I once sat as a student, felt completely surreal. It is these full-circle moments—like receiving the Distinguished Alumna Award from Maitreyi College or simply finding quiet in a messy, paint-covered studio—that anchor my practice. My art is not just about techniques or murals; it is about the stories, the nostalgia, and the shared human connection we build every time we pick up a brush together.

My journey has never been about reaching a specific destination. It has been a series of small, quiet discoveries. Whether I am transforming a blank office wall into a vibrant mural or guiding a group of strangers through their first 'Sip & Paint' session in Delhi, my goal remains the same: to create a space where judgment disappears and creativity takes over.

Full-Circle Moments

Returning to my alma mater was more than just an honor; it was a reminder of how far I have come from the student who first fell in love with colors. These experiences have taught me that art is a powerful bridge—it connects our past selves with who we are becoming.

Why I Teach

I started hosting workshops because I wanted to share the meditation I find in painting. You do not need experience to join one of my sessions. In fact, if you have never held a brush, you are exactly who I want to see in my studio. My workshops are designed for:

  • Corporate Teams: Moving away from targets to focus on collaborative art and team bonding.
  • Private Parties: Birthdays or bachelorettes where the only goal is to have fun.
  • Public Sessions: Relaxed, mindful gatherings at cafes across Delhi NCR for anyone needing an escape.

Every workshop, mural, or community project is an invitation to pause. I provide the supplies, the guidance, and the safe space; you bring your curiosity. Let's see what we can create together.

I am Tanvi, and for me, painting has always been my quietest, most honest form of conversation. Whether I am transforming an office wall with murals or guiding a first-time painter through a workshop, I am just trying to share that same sense of peace I find at the easel.
