Pro-Fighter Conditioning for Strength & Stamina
This is where we build the gas tank. We use weights, tires, and intense bodyweight circuits to ensure you are stronger in the final round than in the first.
Core and conditioning are the foundation of a fighter. Here, a student is engaged in a boxing drill that also tests his endurance and core stability, essential for taking and delivering powerful shots.
A fighter performs a heavy barbell deadlift. This is a fundamental exercise for building the total-body strength and power needed for explosive movements in the cage.
Sunday is for individual motivation. Here I am doing upright rows with a barbell, focusing on building shoulder and back strength, because a coach must also be a beast.
Self-respect is earned through hard work. This shows fighters engaged in serious weight training, including cable flys and bench presses, to build the raw strength required for combat sports.
A young fighter learns proper squat form with a barbell under my close supervision. Building a strong foundation with weight training from a young age is key to long-term athletic development.
Never give up. A fighter does pull-ups as part of his conditioning circuit, building the upper body and grip strength vital for grappling and clinch work.
A glimpse into our gym workout routine. I am performing bicep curls and tricep pushdowns, part of a comprehensive strength training program to support my martial arts skills.
About this collection
Conditioning here is not about looking good; it is about not fading when the pressure hits. We use heavy tires, sledgehammers, and high-intensity interval circuits to build a fighter's engine, but I keep the volume tight so you do not burn out before your next sparring session.
A fighter who gets tired is a fighter who gets hit. My conditioning program for MMA and kickboxing is built on the reality of the cage. If you cannot last three or five rounds with full intensity, the best technique in the world will not save you.
How We Build Your Engine
At the Delhi Martial Art Academy in Tagore Garden, we don't waste time on fancy machines. We use:
- Functional Strength: Deadlifts, barbell rows, and pull-ups to build raw power for takedowns and clinch work.
- Explosive Conditioning: Tire flips and sledgehammer drills to simulate the explosive bursts required in striking exchanges.
- Core Stability: We train your midsection to absorb impact, not just to look good. A strong core is the foundation for every punch and kick you throw.
No Shortcuts
I don't believe in overtraining just for the sake of it. We train smart. If you are prepping for a fight, your weight cut and stamina work are tailored to your specific opponent and your fight date. We track your progress with body composition analysis so you arrive in the ring strong, hydrated, and ready to go.
This is a no-nonsense environment. Whether you are an amateur getting ready for your first inter-club sparring session or a pro prepping for a national league, the effort remains the same. If you are ready to work when everyone else is sleeping, this is where you belong.
