International Referee & Jury Services
Role & Responsibilities
- Center Referee: Managing bouts on the mat, enforcing Kyorugi or Poomsae rules, and ensuring athlete safety.
- Jury President: Overseeing the scoring table, managing the ring, and handling technical protests or disputes.
- Rule Set: Application of current World Taekwondo (WT) competition guidelines.
Standards & Duration
- Coverage: Active officiating for up to 9 hours per tournament day.
- Presentation: Full Official International Referee uniform (Blazer/Suit) to maintain event professionalism.
- Safety: Implementation of medical stoppage protocols and KO management.
Tournament Technical Director
Pre-Event Planning
- Fixtures: Categorization of registered athletes and creation of official draw sheets (fight brackets).
- Scheduling: Designing the bout timeline to ensure the event concludes within designated hours.
- Weigh-ins: Supervision of the official weighing process one day prior to verify weight categories.
Event Operations
- Floor Management: Coordination of referee rosters, mat layout, and head table operations.
- Results: Compilation of final results and medal lists for award ceremonies.
- Exclusions: Does not include hiring costs for other referees or rental of electronic scoring equipment.
Referee Training Workshop
Instructional Modules
- Theory: Classroom instruction on the latest World Taekwondo Kyorugi competition rules.
- Practical: On-mat drills covering hand signals, referee positioning, and movement mechanics.
- Scenarios: Video analysis breakdown of scoring points and penalty application.
Certification

What Drives Me
Taekwondo is more than a sport for us at Taureaux Taekwondo Academy. It’s about discipline, respect, and making sure every match is fair. When I step onto the mat as an official, I’m there to keep things honest and let athletes focus on their best game.
What I Do
- I help federations and tournament organizers keep their events smooth and credible.
- I train and certify referees, focusing on national Taekwondo referee certification and hands-on learning.
- I serve as a Taekwondo tournament technical official, making sure rules are followed and matches run without drama.
Training & Seminars
- I lead referee seminars and refresher courses across India.
- We cover World Taekwondo rules training, hand signals, match management, and using scoring systems.
- Those who clear the course get certified as national referees with the Taekwondo Federation of India.
At the Championships
- I’ve been the technical head and international referee at big events like the National Games and Junior Championships.
- My job is to manage the team, handle technical stuff, and make sure every match is judged right.

We’re Taureaux Taekwondo Academy. Taekwondo’s in our blood - started as students, now we’re here guiding the next batch. Some of us stood on mats as International Technical Officials, some cheered from the stands. Every new student reminds us of our first nervous step. Seeing them grow, win medals, or just stand taller - that’s what matters. We’re not just chasing trophies, we’re building people, one kick and one lesson at a time.
My Work
Taekwondo Classes for All Levels - We teach everyone - total beginners to those chasing medals. Classes cover sparring, Poomsae training for kids, self-defense, and more.
Building Discipline and Character - We’re strict on discipline, not just technique. Hard work, sweat, and respect come first here.
