Traditional Yogic Kriyas & Meditation in Kaggadasapura
Going beyond physical postures. We teach traditional cleansing techniques and meditation practices like Jala Neti and Jyoti Trataka to help with focus, sleep, and sinus health.

About Traditional Yogic Kriyas & Meditation
We keep our sessions for Jala Neti and Jyoti Trataka small on purpose. This is not just a general class, but a practical workshop where you learn the exact head tilt for nasal cleansing or the correct distance for candle gazing. We provide the equipment and supervise each step, so you can practice these techniques confidently at home without the risk of discomfort or incorrect form.
Understanding Our Traditional Practices
Yoga is often marketed as a high-intensity workout, but the foundation of the practice lies in cleansing and mind regulation. At Swasthya Yoga Academy, we return to these roots to help students manage chronic issues that standard gym workouts do not address.
Jala Neti for Respiratory Health
Many of our students come to us dealing with recurring sinus issues or allergies. Jala Neti is a yogic nasal cleansing technique that uses saline water to flush out impurities. When done incorrectly, it can be uncomfortable or ineffective. We teach the precise mechanics—how to position the pot, how to tilt the head, and how to dry the nasal passages afterward—to ensure you can perform this safely as part of your morning hygiene routine.
Jyoti Trataka for Focus and Sleep
In a world of constant screen time, our eyes and minds are rarely at rest. Jyoti Trataka, or candle gazing, is a practice designed to stabilize the mind and improve concentration. By fixing your gaze on a flame, you train your mind to stop wandering. We find this particularly effective for students who struggle with insomnia, frequent headaches, or general mental restlessness.
Why Practice in a Group?
While these are internal practices, learning them in a group setting provides two advantages. First, you receive correction from an instructor. Second, practicing in a quiet, shared space makes it easier to maintain the discipline required for meditation. Our studio in Kaggadasapura is non-AC with natural ventilation, creating a simple, distraction-free environment for these techniques.
