About Soulful Mehfil Performances
Unlike concert-style shows, our mehfils are designed for close interaction. We sit with the audience, creating a conversational flow where we take requests and share the meaning behind every ghazal, making it feel less like a performance and more like a shared evening of poetry.
When we bring our mehfil setup to your event, the goal is simple: to create a space where conversation and melody blur. Lead singer Alish Mohan guides the evening, blending Indian Idol-honed vocal precision with the raw, emotional storytelling of a traditional Sufi gathering.
We keep the setup intentional and grounded. By choosing a seated arrangement, with harmonium, tabla, and dholak at the heart of the sound, we cut out the wall that often exists between performer and listener. This is not just about playing songs, it is about reading the mood of the room. If the moment calls for a deep ghazal or a classic Sufi qawwali by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, that is where we go.
