Performance & Setup
- 10-Piece Ensemble: Features lead vocalist Alish Mohan (Indian Idol Top 30) supported by a full mix of western (drums, guitar, bass, keys) and Indian instruments (flute, tabla, dholak, harmonium).
- Duration: 90 to 120 minutes of continuous performance.
- Structure: Starts with a 'Mehfil' vibe using soulful Sufi songs and live Shayari recitations, transitioning into high-energy Bollywood dance tracks.
- Support: Includes a professional sound engineer to manage the live mix.
Logistics
- Travel: Transport for the band and instruments is included within Delhi NCR.
- Attire: Musicians perform in coordinated ethnic fusion wear (e.g., Kurta Pajamas with jackets).
Client Requirements
- Tech Rider: You must provide the complete sound system (PA speakers, monitors, mixers) and microphones. The band only brings their personal instruments.
- Hospitality: A private green room with refreshments is required for 10-12 people.

At Sufi Folks, I see music as more than just background noise - it's a feeling, a moment, and sometimes, a nasha (intoxication) that ties everyone together. I try to create a mehfil (soulful gathering), not just a show. Each song, each beat is our way of sharing stories of ishq (love), life, and a little bit of divine madness.
What My Mehfil Looks Like
- Soulful or High-Energy
Want a peaceful vibe? I’ll fill the air with soulful Sufi melodies, old-school shayari (poetry), and that calm, mystical touch. Or maybe you’re in the mood for dancing - I can turn up the Bollywood numbers and get everyone moving. Audience interaction is a big part of what I do; sometimes, the best bits are when everyone is singing together.
Where I Fit In
- Sufi fusion band for parties, weddings (sangeet, mehendi, receptions), anniversaries, and birthdays - I paint the right mood for every kind of private event.
- For small, intimate mehfil night experience, I keep it raw and pure with harmonium, tabla, and maybe a bit of live ghazal or qawwali if that's your thing.

My Story
Namaste dosto, we’re Sufi Folks. For us, music is a roohani safar – spiritual ride, not just noise. Our band’s like a family, sab ek saath. Alish Mohan, our lead, made it to Indian Idol Top 30, but honestly, real suroor (joy) is sharing the stage and feeling the crowd vibe with us. We want our mehfil to be a place where you get lost in melodies, poetry, and that connection – that’s our real heera (diamond).
