When we build these high-energy sets, we deliberately manage the rhythm shift from soulful to danceable. We start with slow, melodic Sufi numbers to ground the room, but keep our percussionists ready to switch to high-octane Bollywood hits as soon as the dance floor fills up. This pacing ensures the vibe moves from a formal listening session to an active party without feeling forced.
The Sound of Our Fusion Sets
Our High-Energy Fusion Nights are about bridging the gap between a traditional mehfil and a modern dance floor. A standard setup for these events involves a 10-piece band, including a full Western drum kit, Indian percussion like the Tabla and Dholak, electric guitar, and bass.
We structure our 90 to 120-minute performances in stages. We begin with a 30% Sufi and ghazal foundation, where Alish Mohan weaves in shayaris to build an emotional connection with the audience. Once the audience is engaged, we pivot into 70% commercial Bollywood dance tracks, specifically chosen to bridge the gap between retro hits and current chart-toppers.
