High-Concept & Magazine Editorial Styling
Styling is about building a world, not just dressing a frame. From initial concept development to on-set creative direction, I craft visual narratives that are honest, striking, and precise.
A full-body shot from the 'SERPENTINE' editorial, exploring the theme of transformation. The styling contrasts a voluminous tulle outfit with a rugged, industrial backdrop to create a surreal and thought-provoking image.
Another look from the 'SERPENTINE' series. The pose and composition were directed to feel both powerful and slightly off-kilter, emphasizing the contrast between the soft, layered tulle and the hard lines of the truck.
In this shot from 'SERPENTINE', the natural environment adds another layer to the story. The styling, with its vibrant colors and textures, stands out against the muted greens of the landscape, creating a striking visual narrative.
A wide shot from the 'SERPENTINE' editorial, placing the avant-garde styling in a vast, almost barren landscape. This was a deliberate choice to heighten the sense of surrealism and isolation central to the concept.
A close-up portrait from the 'MAGENTA' editorial. The concept was built around a single, dramatic color, with pearl-adorned makeup and a satin headscarf adding texture and a futuristic feel against the stark quarry background.
Full-length shot from the 'MAGENTA' series. I draped a satin fabric to mimic a skirt, creating a fluid silhouette that contrasts with the ribbed texture of the top and the hard, geometric lines of the location.
This shot from 'MAGENTA' focuses on gesture and expression. The framing of the hands directs the viewer's eye to the model's gaze, highlighting the dramatic makeup and the overall intensity of the concept.
About this collection
Every editorial shoot I lead is a collaboration between concepts, set design, and wardrobe. I bring together the right team—photographers, makeup artists, and set designers—and manage the entire production pipeline so you can focus on the vision while we handle the technical execution.
I approach every editorial project as a piece of visual storytelling. Whether it is a retro-inspired look like my 'BLANCH' series or a transformative concept like 'SERPENTINE', my process begins long before the camera shutter clicks. We start with a mood board to align on color palettes, lighting, and narrative arcs.
My role as Creative Head ensures the following:
- Concept Development: I translate your marketing goals or artistic vision into a cohesive visual script.
- Team Coordination: I manage the creative team, including DOPs and makeup artists, to ensure that the wardrobe, lighting, and set elements feel like a unified story.
- Logistics & Care: From sourcing garments and steaming inventory to managing quick changes on set, my team handles the details that keep a shoot moving at a high pace.
- Technical Precision: I provide on-set monitoring to ensure wardrobe consistency across different takes and camera angles, so the final edit requires minimal correction.
A great editorial image is rarely accidental. It is the result of precise art direction, understanding the texture of the garments against the backdrop, and directing the model to inhabit the character we have created together. If you are looking to translate an abstract idea into a visual that sticks with your audience, let us talk about your next campaign or magazine feature.
