When I lead a campaign, the process starts long before we hit the set. I don’t just pick outfits; I build a cohesive visual world, aligning wardrobe textures with the set design and the DOP’s framing. Whether it’s sourcing vintage elements for a leather brand or ensuring a saree’s drape highlights delicate jewelry, I manage the small, physical details so the final frame feels effortless and honest.
Great commercial campaigns are rarely accidental. They are the result of balancing the creative concept with the practical constraints of a production set. My role as a Creative Head is to keep that balance—managing the 'chaos and calm' of a shoot so the client's vision remains clear.
My Approach to Commercial Styling
- Concept Development: We start with the narrative. Before any sourcing happens, we define the mood. Whether it is heritage-driven for Mia by Tanishq or rugged and adventurous for Loki Craft India, the styling must support the brand's unique voice.
- Collaborative Execution: A shoot is a team sport. I work closely with directors, DOPs, and set designers to ensure color palettes, lighting, and wardrobe are in sync. This continuity is what makes a campaign feel like a seamless story.
- Technical Precision: In product styling, every detail matters. I manage the specific technical needs—like white-glove handling for jewelry or moisture-wicking fabric features for apparel—to ensure the product is the hero of every shot.
