A Curated Look at My Creative Direction & Styling
I am Zoya. This gallery brings together a selection of projects where I have led creative direction and styling. From high-fashion editorials to brand campaigns, these images show how I build a visual world around a specific idea.
A close-up from the 'SERPENTINE' editorial, a project about transformation. I used bold, contrasting makeup and a netted veil to create a sense of mystery and visual tension, framing the shot to draw the viewer in.
For the cover of Provoke Lifestyle magazine featuring the talented Sreeleela. I directed this shoot to capture a look of modern royalty, styling a heavily embroidered purple lehenga with statement diamond jewelry to create a powerful and elegant image.
A commercial I styled for Mia by Tanishq's 'NATIVE' collection. The creative direction focused on a clean, heritage-inspired aesthetic, using earthy tones and traditional settings to highlight the contemporary design of the 22kt gold jewelry.
A scene from 'BLANCH', a retro-themed editorial shoot. I created a complete narrative with two models, vintage-inspired outfits, and a classic car to evoke the feel of a bygone era, focusing on storytelling through fashion.
A moment from a Chola-inspired concept wedding. My role was to direct the entire aesthetic, from the historically influenced regal attire and intricate jewelry to the grand, thematic decor, creating a timeless love story.
Styling for the Loki Craft India campaign, a brand focused on rugged leather goods. The concept was built around a vintage adventure feel, using a classic motorcycle and natural outdoor setting to showcase the product's durability and style.
An artistic portrait from the 'INARA' series. The focus here was on the intricate details of the silver jewelry, using dramatic lighting and a close-up frame to create a moody, intimate portrait that highlights the craftsmanship of the accessories.
About this collection
When you hire me for creative direction, we are not just picking clothes. I act as the creative lead, syncing with photographers and production teams to ensure the final visual lands exactly as planned. Whether we are styling a commercial campaign or a high-concept editorial, I handle the sourcing, fittings, and on-set adjustments so you can focus on the bigger picture.
From Concept to Final Shot
My role as a creative director and stylist goes beyond dressing a subject. I build the visual language of a project, whether it is for a commercial brand like Mia by Tanishq or an independent fashion editorial. My process starts long before the cameras roll, beginning with mood boards that establish the color palette, lighting, and narrative tone.
How We Work Together
I operate as the creative head on set. This means I coordinate directly with the Director, DOP, and production house to ensure wardrobe, art props, and set elements harmonize.
- Pre-Production: We define the concept note and location requirements to ensure the background textures complement the wardrobe.
- Sourcing & Logistics: I manage the procurement of garments and props. This includes sourcing from designer networks, handling rentals, and ensuring garment care like steaming and tagging.
- On-Set Execution: My team and I handle the quick changes, draping, and continuity checks. For high-paced commercial shoots, I deploy assistants to ensure the lead talent and background extras are always camera-ready.
Where I Work
I regularly work on projects across Bangalore, Mumbai, and Kerala. Whether you need a full-service styling team for a large-scale video campaign or someone to direct the aesthetic of a specific product shoot, I bring the same attention to detail. My goal is to produce striking, honest imagery that does more than just look good—it tells your brand or personal story.
If you have a project in mind, let’s discuss how we can turn your vision into a visual reality.
