Innovative Urban Solutions: Performance-Driven Design
We develop architectural solutions that actively improve city infrastructure and public health, blending computational precision with urban functionality.
This video showcases VERTO, my design for a 360-degree air purification tower. The design uses aerodynamic principles and a twisting form to maximize air intake, cleaning up to 600,000 cubic meters of polluted urban air per day.

VERTO is a Red Dot Award-winning product design that merges technology with public art. This video highlights its sculptural form, which is derived from performance-driven computational analysis to be both beautiful and highly efficient.
The VERTO prototype, installed in New Delhi's Sunder Nursery Park, stands as a functional sculpture. Its twisting form and perforated skin are the result of CFD analysis to optimize airflow and purification effectiveness.

The tower's name, VERTO, is derived from the word "turn," reflecting its rotating geometry. The performance-driven perforation pattern features larger openings at air intake and outlet zones, which also accentuates the helical design.
VERTO is designed to create a zone of clean air in public spaces, allowing people to enjoy the outdoors even in polluted urban environments. It represents my commitment to designing solutions that improve public health and quality of life.

About Innovative Urban Solutions
The Verto tower uses Computational Fluid Dynamics simulations to determine its helical geometry, ensuring maximum air intake efficiency. We engineered the perforation pattern specifically to balance aesthetic form with functional air purification, allowing the tower to process 600,000 cubic meters of air daily while remaining a sculptural landmark in Sunder Nursery.
Bridging Technology and Public Health
We view urban air pollution not just as a civic issue, but as a design challenge requiring technical precision. The Verto air purification tower represents our commitment to performance-driven architecture. By integrating aerodynamic principles with advanced filtration systems, we create structures that function as active components of the city rather than passive objects.
The Technical Process
Our methodology is rooted in data. For projects like Verto, we utilize CFD analysis to simulate wind behavior around the structure. This informs the precise helical rotation and the gradient of the perforation pattern. The goal is to minimize resistance while maximizing surface area, ensuring the tower creates a consistent 360-degree purification zone.
Performance-Driven Masterplanning
This same rigorous approach applies to our larger urban interventions. Whether we are designing transit hubs, residential campuses, or vertical villages, we prioritize:
- Environmental Analysis: Utilizing solar insolation mapping and wind flow simulations to optimize building orientation.
- Modular Systems: Implementing voxel grid stacking to ensure density efficiency and structural feasibility.
- Public Integration: Designing open, accessible zones that prioritize walkability and human-centric infrastructure.
Sustainability here is not a buzzword. It is embedded in the computational tools we use to test materials, life-cycle costs, and energy usage before a project moves to construction. If you are looking for design that merges aesthetic intent with measurable performance metrics, we welcome a conversation about your site's specific environmental constraints.
