How We See Cities
I look at cities as living systems, not just a bunch of buildings. My work is about designing spaces that actually work for people and the planet. Design, for me, isn’t only about how something looks - it’s how you experience it when you walk through, sit, or even just pass by.
Our Approach
Studio Symbiosis was named for the idea of connection. I don’t split architecture, engineering, or landscape into separate boxes. It’s all one process. I keep people at the center, bring nature back into city life, and push for future-ready, sustainable urban development. The idea is to weave together human-centric urban spaces with tech and green infrastructure solutions.
Bringing Ideas to Life
- At Baiyappanahalli Station in Bengaluru, I’m turning 132 acres into a public park above the train platforms. It’s not just a hub - it’s a landmark with a massive green space.
- In Hyderabad, my vertical village design mixes private gardens with apartment living, building a complete ecosystem for residents.
- For transit hubs, I design spaces that are easy to navigate, filled with light and greenery, so travel actually feels good.

My Story
We’re Amit and Britta, founders of Studio Symbiosis. Our name’s not about us—it’s about how everything connects. We started out in Stuttgart, hopped over to London, now Delhi and Mumbai. We geek out on tech like BIM, not just for us but to work better with folks. You’ll catch us at design fests, talking shop, or judging. For us, architecture’s solving real problems—like making earthquake-ready towers or cleaning city air with our Verto tower.
