Our Featured Architectural Works and Award-Winning Designs
A selection of our signature projects, where industrial functionality meets architectural art. From brutalist concrete facades to nature-integrated landscapes, these works define our studio’s philosophy.
This is our design for the Laxcon Steel Plant Office in Ahmedabad. The linear lighting integrated into the ribbed concrete facade is inspired by the streaks of light from traffic on the adjacent highway, creating a building that is in constant dialogue with its surroundings.
We design interiors as dynamic volumes. At the Laxcon office, we orchestrated a series of triple-height spaces, open-to-sky courtyards, and connecting bridges to foster a sense of openness and visual connection for the workforce, while also responding to the arid climate.
The facade of the award-winning Laxcon Steel Plant Office showcases a textured, brutalist-inspired concrete form. This project is a testament to our philosophy of creating powerful architectural statements for industrial clients that are both functional and visually compelling.
This is the Stonex Factory in Kishangarh, an industrial complex designed to be in harmony with the surrounding landscape. We moved beyond the conventional factory model to create a space that is both a productive facility and a piece of landscape architecture.
This conceptual design for an office building near Jaipur imagines a "landscraper" where the structure becomes one with the landscape. The building is nestled within earth berms, with a central court that brings in natural light while mitigating the hot, dry climate.
For the Mr. Light showroom in Sultanpur, we focused on creating a sense of minimal opulence. The design enhances the building's verticality through strong structural lines and carefully considered lighting, resulting in a sophisticated and inviting commercial space.
We believe in finding beauty in everyday materials. In this South Delhi office for a construction firm, we reimagined common reinforced steel bars to create a delicate, permeable screen that elegantly separates the reception from the conference area.
A workplace should also provide moments of respite. This lush terrace garden at a Delhi office serves as a green oasis for employees and a space for social gatherings, reflecting our commitment to designing human-centric environments.
About Featured
When we approach projects like the Laxcon Steel Plant, we prioritize the long-term performance of the building. We integrate linear lighting directly into the concrete form and meticulously coordinate MEP services to stay hidden within exposed ceilings, ensuring that our brutalist design language remains uncluttered and functional throughout the structure's lifetime.
Our design process is rooted in the conviction that buildings are stories. At Urbanscape, we do not simply build; we orchestrate spatial narratives through the thoughtful manipulation of volume and materiality.
The Industrial Aesthetic
We challenge the conventional idea of an industrial structure. Projects like the Laxcon Steel Plant in Ahmedabad, a Gold Winner at the IDA Design Awards, demonstrate our belief that factories and offices can be visually compelling. We used a brutalist concrete facade with ribbed textures, creating a dialogue with the highway traffic outside through integrated linear lighting. This is not merely ornamentation, but a response to the site's unique characteristics.
Designing for Climate and Human Experience
Architecture must respond to its environment. In our Dudu office project near Jaipur, we conceptualized a 'landscraper' where the built form merges with the earth. By utilizing berms and a central court, we mitigated the harsh desert climate while providing a lush, shaded environment for the occupants. This strategy of integrating nature, seen also in our Delhi terrace garden projects, ensures that a workspace is not a stagnant box, but a breathing, living entity.
Materiality and Detail
We believe in finding beauty in ordinary materials. In a recent South Delhi construction office, we repurposed common reinforced steel bars to create a permeable screen that defines space without closing it off. This approach, combined with our work on triple-height volumes and bridges, allows us to create commercial interiors that foster connectivity and a sense of openness. Our goal is always to design spaces that people inhabit comfortably for decades, maintaining their relevance and structural integrity long after the initial build.
