Bespoke Parametric Furniture Design
Algorithmic Concept Design
- Creation of bespoke geometries using parametric software (Rhino or Grasshopper) to generate fluid or faceted forms.
- Photorealistic 3D renders (V-Ray or Enscape) showing the furniture piece within the intended environment to assess scale and lighting.
Technical Development
- Specification of high-end materials suitable for digital fabrication like thermoformed Corian, CNC-milled marble, or PVD-coated steel.
- Structural feasibility checks and internal skeletal structure design to support the sculptural skin.
- Generation of Nesting Files and flattened 2D drawings (DWG or DXF) required for CNC machines and waterjet cutters.
Fabrication Coordination
- Coordination with specialized fabricators to ensure the digital file is interpreted correctly.
- One site or workshop visit during the prototype stage to ensure facet alignment and finish quality.
Smart Urban Product & R&D Design
Performance Strategy
- Conducting Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis to optimize shapes for wind flow, cooling, or air purification efficiency.
- Iterative form evolution where the aesthetic form is derived strictly from performance data and resistance metrics.
- Lifecycle analysis focusing on circular economy principles and low-carbon composites.
Technical Engineering
- Designing the product as a modular Kit of Parts for easy transport and scalable assembly.
- Delivery of parametric BIM models (Revit) integrating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) requirements.
- Detailed design of outer shell perforation patterns and internal structural cores for buildable reality.
Prototype Specifications
- Comprehensive dossier including material grades, connection details, and assembly logic for manufacturing the first prototype.
- Ecosystem impact analysis to ensure designs are non-intrusive to local fauna and integrate with urban topography.
About Product Design
Why We Design
At Studio Symbiosis, product design is about more than looks or trends. I see each product as a chance to solve a real problem and create something people actually connect with. Our designs always aim to blend function, feel, and sustainability, so the end result isn’t just another object - it’s an experience.
Symbiosis Philosophy
We follow what we call a 'Symbiosis' approach. It means everything we make is designed to fit well with its surroundings, tech, and the environment. I focus on performance-driven design solutions, so every detail has a reason to be there. If it doesn’t add value, it doesn’t make the cut.
What We’ve Built
Take the VERTO Air Purification Tower. I was struck by how bad city air has gotten, so we made something to fix it. VERTO’s smart system can clean massive amounts of air - think two cricket fields worth. It uses advanced filtration to tackle PM2.5 and PM10, and it adapts itself based on real-time data for max energy efficiency. The twisting form isn’t just for show - it’s the result of computational design process, tested to work with the wind, not against it.
Responsible Design
Sustainability drives everything we do. With VERTO, we made sure it’s modular product architecture and easy to install, without harming local wildlife. I want our products to make life better, not leave problems behind.
Recognition
Our work’s picked up awards like Red Dot and German Design Award, but what matters most is making products that actually help.

My Story
We’re Amit and Britta, founders of Studio Symbiosis. Our name’s not about us—it’s about how everything connects. We started out in Stuttgart, hopped over to London, now Delhi and Mumbai. We geek out on tech like BIM, not just for us but to work better with folks. You’ll catch us at design fests, talking shop, or judging. For us, architecture’s solving real problems—like making earthquake-ready towers or cleaning city air with our Verto tower.
My Work
What We Do - Sustainable architecture, masterplanning, interior design, and product design. We blend it all.
Performance-Driven Design - We mix architecture, engineering, and aesthetics so every part fits together, not just looks good.
Sustainability & Innovation - Circular economy, recycled materials, and our Verto air purification tower for polluted cities.
Tech-Forward Approach - We use BIM and parametric design to push boundaries, solve tough problems, and work across borders.
Immersive Experiences - Design isn’t just visual—it’s felt. Think reflective facades or green roofs that give back to the city.
