About Architectural Design
How We Think About Spaces
We don’t just draw up buildings, we try to make spaces that feel alive. For us, design is about experience, not just fancy looks. One project at a time, we go slow and steady - never batch processing. There’s a lot of fun (and sometimes chaos) before it all comes together.
Our Style: Simple, Raw, Real
- Light is our favorite material. We play with sunlight, shade, breeze - these things make a space feel right.
- We keep materials honest. If it’s stone, brick, earth, or wood, we let their own texture and look show. No hiding behind layers.
- Minimalism is our thing. We don’t pack in too much. Clean lines, just enough detail, and let the structure itself stand out.
- Our buildings always have a sense of place. Whether it’s hot, rainy, or windy, our design responds to that. Context driven design is a must.
How We Build
We’re big on sustainable building materials. You’ll spot earth blocks from the site, Athangudi tiles, lime plaster, exposed brick interiors, and even pots reused in slabs. We like to keep things neat, so walls hide away all the wiring and pipes. Makes everything feel monolithic and raw.
What We Make
- Homes with air, light, and that feeling of space. Kaattu Veedu (Wind House) is a good example - it’s part of the landscape, open yet private.
- Workplaces that actually feel welcoming, not just functional.
- Nature-inspired experience centers, like Earthsong - it blends straight into the land, almost like it grew there.
We’re a small team (proper enthu cutlets, honestly), and we love seeing a project through, start to finish. If you want eco-conscious homes or something different, we’re up for it.

My Story
We’re Studio XS, Shivani and Sucheth plus our wild crew. Fourteen years zipped by, one project at a time, with our ‘One in a Row’ motto. We’re not just about blueprints - our studio’s a mix of marathon runners, dance moves, and mad drink experiments. Akshara’s the Thrissur spark, Shifa brings Mumbai vibes, and our Malayali intern gang keeps the ‘enthu’ (energy) high. We work, we laugh, we create together. That’s us.
My Work
Architecture & Interiors, Luxury Homes, Urban Spaces - We design everything - minimal luxury homes, clubhouses, offices, experience centers. Always cooking up something fresh.
Simplicity, Context, Rawness - Our design is context-driven. We keep it simple, clean, and let spaces grow from their place.
Design That Feels - We create experiential architecture. Spaces should make you pause, feel, and reflect.
Material Play - Natural light interiors are our jam. We love mixing textures, textiles, and nature for layered, seamless spaces.
No Half Measures - We stick to the big idea, sweat every detail. Patience and resolve, always.
