Inside Our Studio: The People and Philosophy of Thirdspace
Our studio is more than an office; it is a space for dialogue, experimentation, and the hands-on process of bringing ideas to life.
Our Pune studio, located in the leafy neighborhood of Koregaon Park. The workspace is organized around a long shelving unit in red, yellow, and blue, which houses our library of architectural books and models, reflecting our vibrant and intellectual design approach.

The atmosphere in our Pune studio is one of focused creativity. The open-plan layout and large windows looking out onto greenery create a bright and inspiring environment for our team to design and develop projects.

About Our Studio: People, Place & Philosophy
In our studio MakerSpace, we often 3D print or fabricate custom elements to test geometry and light before they ever reach your site. We believe that architecture must be physically validated. Whether it is a custom pendant lamp or a specific structural joint, we prototype to ensure that the proportions and material quality meet our standards for both durability and aesthetic resonance.
Architecture at Thirdspace is not a linear path; it is an iterative process. Our studio, located in the leafy neighborhood of Koregaon Park, was designed as an open-plan environment to foster exactly the kind of collaboration we bring to your projects. From our 'Terrace Talks' where we debate architectural theory, to our library of models, the space is built to keep our thinking sharp and our hands busy.
The Thinking Hand
We adhere to the philosophy that design requires the 'thinking hand.' This means we do not rely solely on digital screens. We sketch, build physical models, and create mock-ups. When we work on your home or office, this process ensures that every decision—from the placement of a window to the selection of a material—is tested for how it will actually interact with the light, air, and human scale of your space.
Contextual Design
Our work is rooted in studying the organic growth patterns of a site. Whether we are designing a private residence, a commercial office, or restoring a heritage structure, we look for ways to weave the architecture into its surroundings rather than imposing it upon them. This approach to contextual design allows us to maintain a minimalist material palette while ensuring the building remains functional and relevant for decades. By focusing on natural ventilation and light optimization, we create spaces that feel alive and responsive, long after the construction phase is complete.
