Kids Foundation & Beginner Coaching
Training Structure
- Frequency: 3 to 5 sessions per week (Weekday or Weekend batches).
- Duration: 1 hour 15 minutes per session.
- Batch Size: Group training (approx. 8-12 students) to ensure focused instruction.
Skill Focus
- Fundamentals: Instruction on correct racquet grip, service stance, chassis steps, and basic strokes.
- Drills: Utilization of Nylon shuttles (Mavis 350) or basic feather shuttles for multi-feed drills.
Facility & Tech
- Flooring: Professional wooden flooring with synthetic mats for impact absorption.
- Tech: Access to 'Birdieins' app for guided shadow training and form correction.
- Conditioning: 15-20 mins of off-court agility ladders and cone drills.
Advanced Competitive & Tournament Training
Elite Coaching
- Mentorship: Direct supervision by Head Coach (25+ years experience).
- Schedule: High-volume training, 5-6 days a week, running 2 to 3 hours daily.
- Shuttles: High-grade feather shuttles included for intensive practice and match simulation.
Performance & Strategy
- Drills: High-intensity 'Multi-Shuttle' routines, reflex training, and tactical analysis for Singles/Doubles.
- Tech: Video analysis of strokes for technical refinement.
Physical Support
- Recovery: Access to on-site physiotherapy screening for injury prevention.
- Conditioning: Specialized strength work including stair climbing, hurdles, medicine ball workouts, and core stability.
Adult Cardio & Technique Sessions
Session Format
- Target: Adults (16+) seeking a high-cardio sport alternative to gyms.
- Frequency: Typically 3 days a week (Morning or Evening slots).
- Duration: 60-minute active sessions.
Training Mix
- Instruction: Semi-private coaching focused on game correction and specific shot improvement.
- Fitness: 'Recreation Fitness' modules involving agility work and stamina building.
- Gameplay: Dedicated sparring and match time to apply techniques in real scenarios.
Requirements
- Provided: Academy nets and shuttles.
- Player Responsibility: Personal high-quality racquets and non-marking shoes.

My Approach
Every player is different. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all coaching. I look at your strengths, spot what needs work, and help you grow both on and off the court. It’s not just about winning matches - it’s about building discipline, confidence, and character.
What Training Looks Like
- On-court, we drill everything: stroke power, drop shots, doubles net play, and especially badminton footwork training. Multi-shuttle and shadow drills are a big part of our sessions.
- Fitness isn’t optional. “Mehnat kar, pasina baha” (Work hard, sweat it out) is our motto. Expect agility ladders, hurdles, and medicine balls - but we keep it fun.
- We work on the mental side too. Focus, resilience, and handling pressure matter as much as technique.
Who We Coach
- Kids (5.5+ years): We make sports fun and build healthy habits early.
- Beginners & intermediates: Strong basics, steady progress.
- Advanced & state level badminton coaching: For those aiming for the podium.
- Badminton summer camps: Open to all levels, every year.

Our players regularly reach finals and win at state tournaments in singles and doubles, across age groups. I, Sunil Gannabathula, personally oversee all training with my team, bringing 25+ years of experience to every session.

We started as Sree Dhrona Sports Academy, now Citius Academy. Sunil sir, our head coach, has been in the game for 25 years, training more than 2000 kids. For us, every win counts, no matter how big or small. We’re not just about trophies - we’re about building character, confidence, and friendships. My Work
Badminton, Tennis & Karate Coaching - We teach kids and adults - from age 5.5 and up. Beginners, advanced, everyone gets personalized badminton coaching, tennis, and karate training.
Technical Drills & Training - Our sessions have attacking multi drill, smash and drop, shadow drills. We focus on technique, speed, and mental strength.
Fitness & Conditioning - Players get fitness and conditioning for athletes, including strength, stamina and physio support. We want you fit, not just skilled.
