Junior Foundation Program
Training Structure
- Frequency: Options typically range from 3 days/week (Alternate days) to 5 days/week (Mon-Fri).
- Duration: 60 minutes per session.
- Batch Size: Group training format with approximately 8-12 students per court.
Curriculum & Drills
- Basics Mastery: Grip correction, serving techniques (forehand/backhand), and basic overhead strokes.
- Physical Fitness: 10-15 minutes of warm-up including jogging, stretching, and agility ladder drills.
- Equipment: Training is conducted strictly with Nylon/Synthetic Shuttles (e.g., Yonex Mavis 350).
- Game Exposure: Friendly point-play towards the end of the session to understand scoring and court boundaries.
Supervision
- Coaching: Monitoring by certified junior coaches with periodic oversight by the Head Coach.
- Pathway: Evaluation path to move to the Advanced batch based on internal performance trials.
High-Performance Advanced Training
Elite Training Regime
- Frequency: Mandatory 5 to 6 days a week to maintain consistency.
- Duration: Extended sessions of 90 to 120 minutes, split between on-court play and off-court conditioning.
- Student-Coach Ratio: Lower ratio (approx 1:4 to 1:6) for personalized stroke correction and tactical advice.
Technical Specs
- Shuttle Type: Mandatory usage of Feather Shuttles (Duck or Goose grade) for flight accuracy control.
- Advanced Drills: Multi-shuttle feeding, smash defense, net dribbling, and deception strokes.
- Scientific Fitness: Dedicated time for core strengthening, explosive leg work (lunges/squats), and endurance running.
Competitive Exposure
- Tournament Prep: Specific strategy sessions for State/District tournaments.
- Match Simulation: Full-court singles and doubles matches with refereeing to simulate tournament environments.

My Story
Namaskara! We’re JP Badminton Academy, not just coaches but a loud, mad bunch spread across Bangalore. You’ll hear us shouting ‘Go go go!’ and cheering for every kid who picks up a racquet. Our happiest moments? Watching tiny tots learn their first stroke and our champs bagging medals. We love celebrating Kannada Rajyotsava with as much dhamaal (fun) as any finals. For us, badminton is all about making friends, having fun, and pushing hard on court.
