A look at the energy and devotion I bring to every performance, from global stages to intimate traditional settings.

This is the heart of my performance, a moment of complete surrender to the music. Every concert is an offering, a chance to connect with the divine through song, and I am so grateful to share this experience with my audience.

Performing at the legendary Narada Gana Sabha during the Margazhi season is always a blessing. Here I am, on the main stage with my wonderful team of co-artists, sharing our music in a space that holds so much history and artistic energy.

It was an incredible honor to receive the Bharat Ratna Dr. M. S. Subbulakshmi Fellowship from the hands of the legendary Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia. Moments like these are a humbling reminder of the path I am on, thanks to the blessings of my gurus and well-wishers.

Taking my music to new shores is always exciting. This poster announces a live classical duet concert in Melbourne, Australia, where I shared the stage with the talented Sooryagayathri and a team of amazing senior artists.

A short clip from a memorable concert at the Mylapore Fine Arts Club. This is an excerpt of "Nenarunchi Nanu," a piece that allows for so much expression, especially with the incredible support of my co-artists on violin and mridangam.

A moment of gratitude from "Chidambara Rahasyam," a special production blending narrative, music, and dance. Projects like these allow me to explore storytelling in new ways, connecting ancient stories to our lives through art.

I love the energy of duet performances. Here's a quick, informal announcement with the wonderful Swarathmika for our first duet together. It’s this kind of collaboration and friendship that makes the music even more special.

My debut North America Spring Tour was a dream come true. This poster represents a journey across more than 15 cities, sharing the beauty of Carnatic music with audiences across the United States.

About Featured

When you book me for a performance, what you are actually getting is a team effort. Whether it is a traditional Kutcheri or a high-energy fusion show, I do not just show up to sing. We coordinate the sound checks, the ensemble lineup, and the repertoire, be it Kannada Devaranamas or a complex Ragam Tanam Pallavi, well in advance to ensure the space is ready for that specific musical mood.

My musical journey is a balance between keeping the sanctity of Carnatic roots and exploring new creative avenues. I trained under the legendary Vidushis Ranjani-Gayatri, and that traditional discipline forms the base for everything I do.

Types of Performances

I tailor my concerts to the setting and the audience. For traditional venues, I perform standard Kutcheris, complete with the full Carnatic ensemble of violin, mridangam, and ghatam. These are meditative, structured performances where we delve into extensive manodharma, raga alapana, and the kritis of the Trinity.

When the mood calls for something different, I dive into devotional bhajan sessions. These are focused on creating a soulful, interactive space, often featuring multilingual selections including Marathi Abhangs and Hindi bhajans. For more modern setups, I curate fusion sets that blend classical ragas with electric instrumentation and contemporary beats, which work well for corporate events or private gatherings looking for a fresh, high-energy musical experience.

My Approach to Live Music

Music is a form of bhakti for me. Whether I am singing on a grand stage in Chennai or performing for an international tour in the USA or Australia, my goal remains the same: to create a space of connection. I am equally comfortable with a structured classical concert or an experimental thematic production like 'Chidambara Rahasyam' where we weave narrative, music, and dance together.

If you are planning an event and want to discuss which style of performance fits your audience, send me a message. We can walk through the technical requirements and the musical lineup to make sure the event flows exactly as you envision.

I am Spoorthi. Music is my spiritual journey, and I feel blessed to share it through traditional Carnatic concerts and modern fusion sets. I am just as happy singing a devotional bhajan as I am performing a high-energy fusion track for a crowd.
