Music is my way of connecting with something bigger. This collection is a look into my practice sessions, off-stage moments with friends, and the steady steps that keep me learning every day.

Here’s a little throwback to 8-year-old me singing a 'bhavageethe' solo. Back then, this was my biggest dream. It's humbling to look back at these small steps that have been part of my onward journey in music.

With my revered gurus, Vidushis Ranjani-Gayatri, after an award ceremony. Their guidance has been the light of my musical path, and moments with them are always a blessing.

A picture with the incredible dancer and guru, Padma Shri Dr. Narthaki Nataraj. I had the honor of singing for her Maargam dance recital, which was a great learning experience in collaborating across art forms.

A group photo with my co-artists at the Cleveland Thyagaraja Festival. The friendships and musical bonds I form with fellow musicians during tours and festivals are a cherished part of my journey.

A fun, behind-the-scenes moment during soundcheck in Dubai with my fellow musicians. These light-hearted interactions are what make touring and performing together so enjoyable.

An impromptu recording of a Behag Jathiswaram after a concert. These spontaneous music sessions with friends are where we share, learn, and simply enjoy the art form together.

Singing by the river in Hampi with a group of musical friends. My journey is not just about solo performances, but also about being part of a community that shares a passion for music.

A devotional moment singing "Maayamma" with a friend who is a dancer. My musical journey is deeply intertwined with other Indian art forms like dance and storytelling.

Practicing for a duet concert with Sooryagayathri. The process of preparing for a concert, the rehearsals, and the shared learning are as important as the final performance itself.

A post-concert group photo with my friends after a successful debut show. This journey is about growing with my peers, experimenting, and creating music that is true to us.

About My Musical Journey

When you are planning your event, keep in mind that the technical needs for my performances vary significantly based on the format. A traditional Kutcheri requires specific percussion setups and a 45-minute sound check, whereas a fusion show needs a different PA configuration for electric instruments. I am happy to discuss your venue setup to ensure we pick the format that sounds best for your space.

Growing Through Music

Growing up on stage gave me a front-row seat to the magic of Carnatic music. But my journey is not just about the applause; it is about the hours of riyaz (practice) and the quiet moments between concerts.

The Learning Curve

My foundation is built on the guidance of my gurus, Vidushis Ranjani-Gayatri. That discipline is what I bring to every concert stage, whether I am performing a traditional solo Kutcheri or exploring modern fusion arrangements. I believe that an artist never stops learning, which is why I value the spontaneous recording sessions with friends as much as the grand stage appearances.

Collaborative Spirit

Music is a dialogue. You will see in these photos how much I value collaboration, from duets with fellow artists to symphony projects at festivals like the Cleveland Thyagaraja Festival.

What To Expect

When we plan a performance, I look at the space, the audience, and the vibe. If you are looking for a traditional classical evening, we keep the structure rigorous with full Manodharma. If you want something that bridges tradition and modern appeal, we can craft a thematic experience that feels personal and engaging.

Whether you are organizing a house concert, a festival, or a corporate event, I work to make the music feel like an intimate conversation. Let's talk about the mood you want to create and find the right musical fit.

I’m Spoorthi, and for me, music is about finding that spark of bhakti and sharing it with the world. I don’t treat concerts as just a job; they are personal conversations where I get to share what I’ve learned from my gurus and my own musical path.
