About Carnatic Fusion Live Performances
When Raagas Meet Riffs
If you’re expecting a calm Carnatic kutcheri, this isn’t it. My shows mix the soul of Carnatic music with the raw power of rock and the swing of jazz. It’s loud, it’s wild, and it’s full-on maja (fun). My roots are in the raagas, but I love seeing how they come alive with electric guitar, drums, and bass. Bhakti (devotion) is at the core of everything I sing, but I’m all about exploring new vibes too.
The Fusion We Create
I build each set around Carnatic melodies, but I let them jam with whatever feels right: sometimes that’s a mridangam and khanjira jugalbandi battling it out with drum kit and bass, sometimes it’s the electric guitar and violin trading solos with my vocals. The energy is real and sometimes it gets wild. Our goal? Share the joy, see some heads bob, and maybe get the crowd dancing.
Where We Bring the Energy
Our live Carnatic fusion band really pops at college proshows and big festivals. Student crowds bring a whole different thrill - IIT Madras, AFMC Pune, BITS Goa, you name it. We’ve played everywhere from jazz clubs to open-air festivals, and we’re always up for adapting the set to suit the vibe. If you want Indian classical jazz fusion but with a twist, this is it.
Why I Do This
This isn’t just a project for me, it’s pure joy. Music is meant to be shared, experimented with, and felt. Hope to catch you at a show and vibe together!

My Story
Hey, Spoorthi here! Wild to think it's been a decade since Super Singer Junior days. Folks still tell me they watched me grow up on stage—makes me feel all kinds of grateful. Carnatic music is my home, thanks to Ranjani-Gayatri akka-s. Sometimes, magic just happens—like singing bhajans on the street in Udupi, or doing a thillana mid-air for my 18th! Life’s been a mix of kutcheris, skydives, and jamming with friends. Blessed? For sure.
My Work
Carnatic Concerts & Fusion Shows - I do Carnatic vocal concerts—solo, duet, or with my Carnatic fusion band. Also, themed musical storytelling gigs.
My Singing Style - Rooted in Carnatic, but I like to mix it up—expect expressive Carnatic vocals with a twist.
Concert Vibes - Could be a deep, classical evening or a wild fusion night. Depends on the mood and the crowd!
Audience - All are welcome—whether you’re a hardcore rasika or just want a musical night out.
Playback Singing - Just sang 'Manave' for Barroz (Kannada film). First playback, super fun!
