Urban Oases: Sustainable City Residences
We build vertical sanctuaries that breathe, using green facades and climate-responsive design to carve out private, airy homes in the heart of Mumbai's urban density.
Our vertical home in Bombay, Sarvasva. A terracotta self-cleansing facade is sculpted with a jagged eye to take in vistas and suspend greens, creating a special entity on the avenue.
A look at our Ikebana project, green housing on a mega-scale. The design intends to be a sympathetic neighbor, bringing green to the area with irrigated planters and shaded glass.
A rendering of a new vertical living project in Bombay. We intend to make a difference in our mother city, creating sustainable, climatic dwellings that bring green to the urban fabric.
Another view of our vertical living concept for Bombay. The design features a green exoskeleton to control the microclimate and provide shaded outdoor spaces for each residence.
A rendering of a tall house in Bombay. Our commissions in the city are an opportunity to challenge mediocre development and create architecture with soul.
Our Sarvasva project, a terracotta home in Bombay, was awarded Winner for high-rise residence by Architecture Hunter. It is a testament to our belief in soulful, relevant stories.

Our urban home project in Juhu, Mumbai, nearing completion. We have used six-meter-tall sliding glass walls, double-height spaces, and large planted terraces to heighten the sense of light and air.
Our multi-generational home in Juhu, now handed over. Conceived as a stack of "living slabs," the eight-story building is anthracite black, holding greens wherever possible.
A teaser for a film on our project in Bombay. It is a quiet sanctuary, a sacred grove in stone, holding space for light, wind, and silence.
About Urban Oases: City Residences
We believe a city home should be a relief, not a cage. In our Mumbai projects, we move away from standard apartment layouts to create what we call living slabs—vertical homes with deep, irrigated terraces that act as the lungs of the building. This design allows for consistent cross-ventilation and natural shading, meaning your living areas stay cool and airy without relying solely on air conditioning.
Living in a dense metropolis like Mumbai often means battling mediocre, glass-box architecture. We take a different path. Our urban residences are built to challenge the status quo, transforming high-rise living into a series of interconnected, private sanctuaries.
The Climatic Response
Every site has a specific character, and we listen to it. Whether it is a project in Juhu or a tower in Breachcandy, we orient our designs to capture the sea breeze and filter the harsh tropical sun. We use deep, porous screens and double-height terraces to break down the barrier between the indoors and the outside. These aren't just balconies; they are vertical gardens that provide privacy, manage the microclimate, and offer a visual escape from the street chaos below.
Material Honesty in the City
We avoid the sterile, clinical finish of modern developer apartments. Instead, we use materials that age with grace—terracotta facades that self-clean, raw stone, and salvaged timber. For us, a home is a place to live, not a showroom. We design for the occupant's comfort, ensuring the building works with the elements, not against them. Our goal is to bring a sense of nature back into the urban fabric, creating a quiet presence that stands out by staying simple and relevant.
Spasm Design
We do not chase trends or glossy perfection. We listen to the wind, the sun, and the specific needs of your family to create a home that feels like a relief from the city noise. Our studio is where we work by hand, building models to ensure your home breathes and grows with you.
