Urban Oases: Greening Tight City Spaces
Transform your compact city area into a lush, breathing retreat. We use vertical gardens and native climbers to bring nature into even the smallest urban footprints.
For the Naturals NOW project in Juhu, we designed this green corridor. The space features climbing plants on the walls and a unique steel mesh floor that allows light and air to reach the plants growing below, maximizing greenery in a narrow footprint.
The view from within the Juhu green pocket, where a canopy of leaves creates a cool, shaded atmosphere. We designed this space with small seating areas, making it a perfect spot for customers to relax and enjoy a moment of peace in the city.
A seating nook nestled under a trellis of flowering creepers. Our goal is to create functional and beautiful spaces where people can comfortably sit, surrounded by the calming presence of nature.
Sunlight filters through the dense canopy of climbers, creating a magical effect. Witnessing our projects grow and flourish over time, becoming more beautiful with each season, is the most satisfying part of our work.
About Urban Oases: Greening Tight City Spaces
When we design for tight city plots, like the Naturals NOW project in Juhu, we focus on maximizing every square inch of vertical space. Instead of traditional concrete, we use steel mesh flooring to allow light and air to reach the lower planting beds, creating a layered, breathable environment even in narrow corridors.
In dense urban environments, the biggest challenge is rarely the lack of space, but the lack of natural flow. Our process starts by analyzing the existing structural footprint and determining where we can introduce verticality. By using steel mesh and tensile wire systems, we create a framework for native climbers that thrive in our local biome. This method does more than just look green. It ensures that plants receive adequate sunlight and water drainage, even in shaded areas. For sites like our Juhu project, this meant turning a narrow pathway into a functional corridor that customers actually want to linger in. If you have a tight alcove or a constrained balcony, the solution often lies in looking up and integrating the landscape with the building structure itself. We ensure that lighting is hidden within the metal frames, creating a subtle, calming atmosphere that invites people to pause and connect with the outdoors. Each element is carefully chosen to withstand the monsoon, ensuring your green space continues to thrive throughout the changing seasons.
