Step inside our studio and factory. From hand-sketched concepts to the final coat of polish, see how we translate your vision into one-of-a-kind home interiors.

My design process always begins with sketching emotions before designing spaces. This video shows the conceptual phase for the chess-inspired furniture, where ideas are refined through drawings and discussions with my senior designers.

Here I am in my factory, personally inspecting the progress of a custom tabletop with zebra inlay. I believe in being hands-on to ensure good design and quality, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence in my team.

The soul of my work is in the handcrafted details. Here, an artisan meticulously hand-paints the checkerboard pattern on the leg of our chess-inspired bench, using traditional techniques to ensure sharp lines and rich character.

A talented team is a boon for a creative company. This is Ramvilas, a polisher who has been with me for over 15 years, showcasing a beautiful free-hand design he painted on a drawer front panel.

The design team in the process of conceptualizing a dining tabletop inspired by nature. We draw inspiration from the beauty around us to create unique and captivating designs that tell a story.

A glimpse of the design journey for our Dubai project. It all starts with hand sketches like this one for a master bedroom's entry wall, mapping out mirrors, paneling, and a custom wooden console.

Another sketch from the Dubai project, detailing the bed back wall. I planned for curved fluting, wallpaper, and integrated side tables with shoe storage to maximize both style and function.

This sketch shows the concept for a custom wardrobe and dresser unit. The design features curved louvers and unique shutter patterns, ensuring every element in the room is bespoke and cohesive.

The design process begins with quick conceptual sketches to map out the layout and feel of a space. Here, I'm visualizing the entry and living areas for a project, focusing on furniture placement and key art pieces.

Every piece of furniture we make embodies a fusion of artistry and heartfelt design. This video shows me working with my team on a full-scale drawing for a stone inlay tabletop, ensuring the perfect blend of tradition and innovation.

About The Artisan's Touch: From Sketch to Finish

We don't rely on generic catalogs. My process begins with hand sketches that map out the flow, followed by full-scale factory prototypes where we test everything from edge profiles to material proportions. Whether we are deciding on the exact thickness of a stone inlay tabletop or the curvature of a lounge chair, we refine these details long before they reach your home.

Why the Process Matters

Many see the final, polished furniture piece, but the journey to get there is what defines a truly personal space. At Walnut, my design process is deeply rooted in transparency and craftsmanship. By controlling the production in our own factory, I ensure that my initial sketches aren't lost in translation.

From Sketch to Prototype

When we conceptualize a dining table or a custom storage unit, we don't just draw it; we build it. My team and I create prototypes to test the ergonomics and the visual balance. We look at the interplay of materials—like marble, brass, and reclaimed wood—to see how they age and how they feel in a real room.

The Human Element

Design is only as good as the hands that craft it. I work closely with artisans like Ramvilas, who has been with me for 15 years, to ensure that the free-hand details and paint finishes carry the soul of the design. When you choose to work with us, you aren't just getting furniture. You are getting a piece that has been thought through, tested, and finished with the same care I would put into my own home. Whether we are working on a project in Noida or shipping internationally, this commitment to the 'how' is what makes the end result special.
