Behind The Scenes: Our Art Studio Process
Every piece of art is a journey of beautiful chaos. Here is a look at the hands-on process, the textures, and the messy reality behind our custom creations.
Here I am in my happy place, adding details to a new moon art piece. Capturing the magic of the moon is a creative journey I deeply enjoy, one brushstroke at a time.
A look at our bustling stall at the Sunday Soul Sante Christmas edition. We were so grateful for the amazing response and loved meeting everyone who recognized our work and showed us so much love.
Part one of making our "Garden of Love" series. This video shows the very first steps, from the CNC machine cutting the base to us applying the first layers of texture paste.
Introducing the painting series for "Garden of Love." This is where the piece starts to come alive with color, as we hand-paint the intricate details on the textured surface.
Me with my moons. Each one is handcrafted and holds a story. It's a joy to create these pieces that I hope bring a sense of peace and magic to your space.
Our stall at night, all lit up with fairy lights. We love creating a magical little corner to display our art, from the moon installations to the small hand-painted plates.
The very hands-on, messy process of creating texture for our art. We mix our own paste and apply it by hand to build up the unique surfaces of our pieces, like this moon art.
About this collection
You might see the polished moon art in photos, but here is the raw reality. It is just us, a pile of scrap materials, and a lot of texture paste. Whether we are navigating Bangalore traffic for supplies or working late nights on a pooja door, this is the messy, honest process that brings each piece to life.
Behind the scenes at our studio, the process is never a straight line. It is a mix of planning, quick problem-solving, and a lot of hands-on work. When we build 3D installations, we do not just use standard supplies. We often use waste materials to build the base, proving that beautiful things can come from what we might otherwise throw away.
Our texture work is entirely manual. We mix the paste and apply it by hand to create those deep, lunar craters or detailed floral patterns you see in our collections. It takes time, patience, and often some 'jugad' to get the lighting or the structural integrity just right, especially when we are managing tight deadlines.
We do not believe in mass production. Each brushstroke on a Kerala mural or a doodle on a nameplate is done by hand. When you see a video of our work, you are seeing a moment where we are trying to translate a feeling into a physical object. If you are looking for a unique touch for your living room or a meaningful gift, you are not just getting a product. You are getting a piece that was made in that same messy, passionate studio space.
