Architecture is an ongoing conversation with history, memory, and the community. Here is a selection of projects that define our practice and our approach to space.

This home in Coonoor is an exploration of how architecture can frame a landscape and a life. The design focuses on the interplay of light and shadow, creating spaces that feel both expansive and intimate, where the boundary between inside and outside is intentionally blurred.

Here you can see the journey of an 80s-era building in Bengaluru being recovered and reimagined for the information age. This adaptive reuse project transforms a dated structure into a transparent, flexible, and sustainable workplace, proving that the most sustainable building is often the one that already stands.

The Museum of Art & Photography (MAP) in Bengaluru, seen here at dusk, was a project in creating a cultural hub for the community. The building's facade, inspired by the concept of a water-tank or 'kund', is designed to be a responsive skin that connects the art within to the city outside.

This is my Amma’s home, the first project of our practice and a constant source of inspiration. It is a testament to my belief that a home should be a place of care, layered with memories, where nature and architecture gracefully age together over time.

My process always begins with enquiry, often through hand-drawn architectural sketches like this one. This drawing, from a visit to Le Corbusier's Chandigarh, is a study of form and space, a dialogue with a master that informs my own thinking.

From a concept to a tangible form, physical models are a critical part of my design process. They allow me to test ideas, understand the play of light, and feel the spatial relationships in a way that digital tools cannot replicate.

Art is not an afterthought; it is integral to the architectural experience. This sculpture by Arik Levy, standing in the atrium of the MAP museum, is a focal point that engages visitors and creates a dynamic dialogue with the surrounding space.

A cherished moment sharing my work with the late master architect, B.V. Doshi. His wisdom and perspective were a constant source of learning, and dialogues like these are fundamental to the evolution of my practice.

About Featured

My approach often begins with understanding the history of a site, whether it is a heritage structure in Bengaluru or a home in Coonoor. Before we draw lines, we study the sun path, the wind, and the memories already embedded in the ground, ensuring our intervention enhances what already exists.
