Architecture is a conversation with the past and the present. These are the moments, dialogues, and masterworks that shape the way we think about every project.

A video clip from a conversation with B.V. Doshi. He spoke of architecture as the creation of space, not just buildings, a lesson that continues to be a guiding principle in my work.

Zaha Hadid's Vitra Fire Station, her first built work. It is a frozen explosion of concrete, a radical exploration of form that broke new ground and continues to inspire.

The interior of Kazuo Shinohara's Umbrella House, reconstructed at the Vitra Campus. It is a masterpiece of Japanese residential design, blending traditional motifs with a modern spatial sensibility.

The flowing, fabric-like skin of this university building by SANAA architects in Milan. Their work is a study in lightness, transparency, and the delicate relationship between a building and its landscape.

The iconic studio space at CEPT University in Ahmedabad, designed by B.V. Doshi. This building was my classroom, and its raw, powerful, and humane architecture profoundly shaped me as a student.

An announcement for "An Homage to Doshi," an event I helped moderate. It is important to honor the legacies of our mentors and understand the lineage of ideas we are a part of.

In conversation with fellow architect Peter Rich. Sharing ideas and experiences with colleagues is a vital part of my own learning and growth.

An impromptu trip to Studio Thirdspace in Belgaum. I always value the opportunity to visit other architects' studios and engage with their team and their process.

A wonderful evening with friends and fellow architects. The community of architecture is built on these informal moments of camaraderie and shared passion.

A serendipitous meeting with artist Bose Krishnamachari. The intersection of art and architecture is a constant theme in my work, and these encounters are always enriching.

About Architectural Dialogues & Inspirations

I often tell my team that we never design in a vacuum. My practice thrives on the intersections—like how I study B.V. Doshi’s raw concrete work at CEPT or Zaha Hadid’s frozen explosions at Vitra—not to copy, but to understand the fundamental logic of space. When we discuss your project, we do not just talk about dimensions; we explore the historical and emotional context of your site, aiming for a narrative that feels both deeply rooted and entirely yours.
