A curated look at how I turn tight city plots and complex requirements into homes with soul. From contemporary residential villas to institutional projects, this is my design philosophy in action.
This is how I transform a compact 20x30 plot into a statement home. By using a zig-zag plan and materials like corten steel on the facade, I create a residence that feels spacious, modern, and anything but small.
For this Bangalore residence, I kept it simple and clean. The facade design combines natural stone, wood-paneled planters, and a geometric jalli screen to create a play of textures and shadows, resulting in a modern home with a calm, inviting presence.
An aerial view of a double-height living space designed to feel expansive and intimate at the same time. This open-well atrium design is one of my key strategies for flooding homes with natural light and creating visual connections between floors.
A contemporary 4-bedroom duplex on a 50x30 corner plot in Kammanahalli. The night view highlights how I use architectural lighting to accentuate the building's form, creating a dynamic composition of solid masses, wood cladding, and illuminated voids.
The completed Arun Reddy residence in Hosur, a contemporary home on a 50x40 corner plot. This project shows the final result of a design that balances bold, angular walls with warm wood cladding, all while being fully Vastu-compliant.
A close-up of a curved balcony featuring a clay block jalli screen. This traditional element is reimagined in a modern context to provide privacy, control sunlight, and cast beautiful, shifting patterns of light and shadow throughout the day.
This is a walkthrough of my design for the Republic Central School in Mandya. It showcases my ability to handle large-scale institutional projects, creating engaging and modern learning environments with unique architectural features.
About this collection
You’ll notice a recurring theme in my work: I don’t believe in wasting space, especially in cities like Bengaluru where plots are often compact. Whether it’s using double-height atriums to flood a living room with light or stacking rectangular volumes to create visual depth, every design decision I make is about maximizing utility without sacrificing the aesthetic. If you're wondering how to make a 20x30 plot feel like a sprawling villa, this is the practical approach I bring to your project.
My Approach to Modern Architecture
Design is not just about aesthetics; it is about solving problems. My work, whether for a private residence or a large institution like the school in Mandya, is driven by a few core principles:
- Small Plot Specialists: A 20x30 plot is not a limitation; it is an opportunity for clever engineering. I use zig-zag plans and open-well atriums to make compact spaces feel bright and expansive.
- Solid and Void: I play with light and shadow by contrasting heavy masses with perforated screens like jallis. This creates a facade that changes throughout the day as the sun moves.
- Vastu Integration: You don't have to sacrifice modern, clean lines for traditional values. I blend Vastu Shastra principles directly into the architectural layout, ensuring room orientation and entrance placement are compliant without looking 'old-school.'
- Renovation with Respect: I prefer to upgrade rather than demolish. If you have an old house that feels tired, I can retrofit the structure to support new floors or open up interior walls to let in more natural light.
What You Get
I handle the entire lifecycle—from conceptual blueprints and structural diagrams to full-scale turnkey construction. This keeps communication simple; you deal directly with me, not a rotating cast of contractors. My goal is to build you a home that feels like it belongs to you, not a cookie-cutter design pulled from a catalog.
