About Mindful Moments & Wellness for Kids

In these sessions, we use gentle soundscapes like singing bowls, kalimbas, and chimes to help toddlers find stillness. This is not about keeping children quiet, but about letting them explore calm at their own pace, making it perfect for little ones who are just learning to express their big emotions.

Often, parents ask if young children can actually practice mindfulness. The answer is yes, but it looks very different from adult meditation. My 'Happy Hearts & Magic Sounds' workshops are designed specifically for children aged 2.5 to 6 years, focusing on active sensory play rather than sitting still for long periods.

How We Create Calm

We combine Naada Yoga (sound healing) with creative movement. During a typical session, we might use a singing bowl to teach children how to listen deeply, or use a kalimba to explore different rhythms. This helps improve their attention span and motor coordination. Because the activities are playful, children do not feel pressured to 'perform' or 'sit still.' Instead, they naturally transition from high-energy play to a state of relaxation.

Why Emotional Regulation Matters

Early childhood is when children learn to identify and name their feelings. Through these wellness sessions, we provide a safe container for self-expression. We see children who are usually shy or hyperactive begin to settle into their own space, gaining confidence in their ability to self-soothe.

Every session includes a 'Gratitude Circle' and 'Welcome Time,' which helps kids feel connected to the group. Whether we are at a centre in Pitampura or Karol Bagh, the goal remains the same: nurturing a peaceful heart from the inside out. My approach is entirely play-based, ensuring your child learns through experience rather than instruction.

I started Skillful Minds because I wanted more for kids than just textbooks. My Happy Hearts sessions are all about helping children navigate their feelings through music, movement, and gentle sound, creating a space where they feel safe enough to shine.
