About this collection
You’ll notice my process isn't just about clicking a shutter. For every campaign, I act as creative director, controlling the lighting setups down to the last degree and guiding the talent through specific poses to match the vision. If we’re shooting jewellery, I’m obsessed with focus stacking to ensure every diamond facet catches the light, not just blurring it out. This isn't just photography, it’s an engineered image.
Why My Approach is Different
Most people just show up and shoot. I don’t. I treat every project as a piece of visual storytelling. Whether we are shooting a luxury jewellery campaign or a streetwear fashion editorial, the goal is the same: to create an image that makes people pause.
The Technical Lab
My studio is my lab. I use a combination of Profoto setups, often 5 to 7 lights, along with optical snoots, Fresnels, and gels to sculpt the light. This is how I get that clean, sharp, high-end look you see in my work. If I’m on the street, the rules don’t change. I’m hunting for clean light, using storefronts or whatever is available to maintain that cinematic quality.
What to Expect on Set
- Creative Direction: I’m not standing behind the camera quietly. I’m guiding the body language, the attitude, and the gaze. 'Chin down,' 'eyes only'—I direct every movement because I know exactly how it will translate to the final frame.
- Real-Time Precision: For commercial work, we shoot tethered. You see the high-res result on a laptop immediately, meaning there’s no guessing game. We nail the focus and the composition on the spot.
- End-to-End Control: I don’t hand over raw files for you to figure out. I handle the high-end retouching myself, including frequency separation and color grading, ensuring the final product you receive is exactly what we envisioned on day one.
