This before and after comparison of our TARA Kotagiri resort project encapsulates our entire philosophy. We see beyond the existing structure to envision a completely new experience, transforming a simple building into an architectural form that is in dialogue with the surrounding Nilgiri hills.
The TARA resort at dusk, where carefully considered lighting highlights the new architectural forms and natural textures. We designed the pathways and structures to create a sense of discovery and privacy, crafting an immersive experience where the building settles quietly into the landscape.
A design for a community clubhouse built into a retained stone quarry. This project demonstrates our ability to blend modern, sleek forms with raw, powerful nature. The structure emerges from the rock, creating leisure spaces that feel both man-made and elemental.
The entrance to a private space at the TARA resort, framed by intricately carved wooden doors. This moment of entry is designed to be a transition, moving from the open landscape into a personal sanctuary, highlighting our use of reclaimed materials and traditional craftsmanship.

About Renovation & Adaptive Reuse

We see renovation as more than just fixing up a building. For us, it's about rearchitecture - reshaping spaces so they feel fresh, personal, and in tune with nature. Every project is a chance to bring out the best in what's already there, without losing its soul.

How We Work

  • We always look for new ways to use old spaces, from adding a floor to tweaking layouts for better flow.
  • Sustainability is real for us. Mud from the site, reclaimed materials like old railway wood, and designs that open up to the outdoors are regulars in our toolkit.
  • We want every space to connect with its environment, inside and out.

Transformations We've Done

  • Resorts in the Nilgiris got a new lease of life with natural materials and adaptive facade solutions, blending old charm with new comfort.
  • Farmhouses near Bannerghatta turned into timeless escapes, with new pools, recycled bits, and green landscapes that sit quietly in the forest.
  • Even commercial spots got a ‘Second Skin’ - like clay jali walls that keep things cool and private.

What You Get With Us

  • We're not shy about major structural changes, like adding floors or changing facades.
  • Mixing old bones with new touches comes naturally to us.
  • Whether it’s a hill station resort or a city farmhouse, we’ve handled it.

My Story

We started out as a tiny practice, just an idea and a lot of dreams. Eighteen years later, it's honestly the people - team, clients, teachers - who shaped us. Still remember my Earth Institute days, those lessons in earth-based architecture never left us. Our team? Heart and soul, always. Clients, you let us push limits and try new things. Senscape is really just all of us, together, figuring it out.

My Work

What We Do - Architectural design, interiors, and master planning for homes, farmhouses, boutique resorts, cafes, and offices.

How We Design - We keep it simple and practical. Spaces should feel right, blend with what’s around. Not just sit on the land.

Nature and Sustainability - Love weaving nature in - courtyards, clay jali wall designs, recycled material interiors, even mud from the site.

Every Space, a Feeling - Buildings reflect you. Like our Still Home, where greys and forms bring calm and oneness.
