About Master Planning & Urban Design
Designing a place is more than just drawing lines on a map. At Senscape, we think real master planning means blending the vibe of a space with what nature already has to offer. I try to create places where people feel at home, but also feel the freedom to be themselves.
How I Approach Urban Design
- No cookie-cutter grids here. I prefer winding streets, unexpected corners, and layouts that feel like they've grown over time. It's a bit like the old gaon (village) style, but with a modern twist.
- I’m big on using materials and colors that make you feel something - not just look at a pretty picture. A place should be lived in, not just admired from a distance.
- Nature isn’t just a backdrop – it’s a partner. I work with existing trees, slope, and sunlight, weaving in central courtyards, lots of green, and space to breathe. Landscape-driven site planning is at the core.
- Every site, every city is different. What works in one spot might look odd in another, so I always dig deep into local climate and the lay of the land before starting.
What I Design
- Gated layouts with shared spaces where you actually want to hang out
- Large plotted layouts, even on tricky terrain
- Integrated townships where work, play, and daily life are all connected
From city 'oases' filled with green, to hillside townships shaped by the land, I’m all about human-centric urban design that fits the place and the people.

My Story
We started out as a tiny practice, just an idea and a lot of dreams. Eighteen years later, it's honestly the people - team, clients, teachers - who shaped us. Still remember my Earth Institute days, those lessons in earth-based architecture never left us. Our team? Heart and soul, always. Clients, you let us push limits and try new things. Senscape is really just all of us, together, figuring it out.
My Work
What We Do - Architectural design, interiors, and master planning for homes, farmhouses, boutique resorts, cafes, and offices.
How We Design - We keep it simple and practical. Spaces should feel right, blend with what’s around. Not just sit on the land.
Nature and Sustainability - Love weaving nature in - courtyards, clay jali wall designs, recycled material interiors, even mud from the site.
Every Space, a Feeling - Buildings reflect you. Like our Still Home, where greys and forms bring calm and oneness.
