We believe a great space builds a great community. For the Toit brewery in Bengaluru, we used marquee lights and exposed structures to create an inviting, energetic atmosphere that has become a beloved city landmark.
This is where imagination takes flight. We transformed salvaged aircraft wreckage into the Aste Bar, using actual passenger seats and fuselage parts to create a truly unique and immersive experience.
Our Earth Alive project shows how industrial shipping containers can be reborn as harmonious living spaces. Here, a container is elevated into a watchtower, blending into the rewilded landscape and offering a new perspective on sustainable design.
The bones of an old building hold its memory. In this Coimbatore home restoration, we revealed the original brick arches and concrete frame, creating a dramatic, light filled core that honors the structure's past.
We see potential where others see waste. This split view shows our process: on the left, discarded metal scrap, and on the right, the finished, elegant rain chain it became for a boutique hotel in Chikmagalur.
Nature is our constant inspiration. We crafted these ant sculptures from recycled steel, bringing a touch of bio-inspired art to our studio wall and reminding us of the small, powerful forces that shape our world.

About Architectural Conservation & Adaptive Reuse

Old Spaces, New Life

I see every old building as a living story. My work isn’t just about patching up the past - it’s about giving it fresh meaning. Whether it’s a faded mansion or a dusty warehouse, I try to mix what’s already there with what’s possible next, so you feel both roots and wings in the space.

How I Work

  • I start by listening - to both the building’s history and your hopes.
  • Sustainability is my baseline. I’m all about 'Reduce, Reuse, Recycle', finding something beautiful in things others toss aside (yes, even aircraft wreckage or shipping containers).
  • I let materials speak for themselves. Exposed brick, raw stone, steel beams - I don’t cover them up, I spotlight them.
  • Old and new aren’t rivals. I love weaving them together so the history stands out, not hidden.

What We Can Do Together

  • Transform homes or commercial spaces by blending new ideas into old bones. I’ve worked on everything from family homes to breweries.
  • Heritage building restoration is close to my heart. I might uncover old brick arches or show off acchukal (that classic mould-stone pillar vibe).
  • Industrial space transformation gets me excited - repurposing forgotten warehouses or using salvaged materials design to build spaces that feel unique and alive.

A Few Stories

  • Made a tired home in Coimbatore fresh again, letting its brick arches and stone pillars steal the spotlight.
  • Built an aircraft-themed bar in Bengaluru from actual aircraft scrap and old junk - every piece tells a new story.
  • Helped shape a Bengaluru brewery that’s now a community hub, mixing exposed steel and brick for that raw, honest feel.

My Story

We’re Mistry Architects, but friends call us ‘Thugs of Mistry’s’—a name Sharukh, our late founder, tossed around with love and laughter. Our studio’s a wild mix of art, nature, and pure team energy. We’re big on celebrations, be it Dasara or random road trips. For us, it’s about building spaces where you feel the earth and the people—sometimes messy, always full of heart.

My Work

What We Do - We design homes, schools, hotels, interiors, and take on conservation and socially relevant architecture.

Nature-Centric Design - Our buildings vibe with local flora, rewilded living spaces, and keep the landscape breathing.

Handmade & Local Materials - We love exposed concrete, achukal brick, and handmade vernacular details that show off craft.

Art, Function & Bio-Inspiration - Design, art, and bio-inspired ideas mix together—spaces aren’t just useful, but a bit magical too.

Old Meets New - We blend existing structures with fresh ideas; drama and learning come from weaving stories together.
