Architectural Design & Consultancy
Concept & Schematic Design
- Site-Specific Climate Analysis: Detailed study of sun-path and wind direction to design passive cooling systems that minimize AC load.
- Biophilic Layout Planning: Creation of floor plans incorporating courtyards, skylights, and double-height volumes for ventilation.
- 3D Visualization: Conceptual 3D views (SketchUp/Render) to visualize volumetric spaces and light interaction.
Detailed Construction Documentation (GFC)
- Complex Structural Detailing: Specific drawings for exposed elements like cantilevered concrete slabs, brick-frame structures, and vaulted terracotta ceilings.
- Fenestration Design: Custom detailing for facade screens (jali) and clearstory windows to balance privacy and light.
- MEP Coordination: Precise integration of electrical and plumbing lines within exposed walls.
Material & Site Integration
- Vernacular Material Specs: Selection and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for sourcing local wire-cut bricks, natural stone, and terracotta roofing.
- Landscape Conceptualization: Designing hardscape and softscape elements like planter boxes and internal courtyards to merge with the structure.
- Periodic Site Supervision: Visits at critical stages (foundation, roof casting, finishing) to validate execution techniques.
Interior Design Consultancy
Space Planning & Mood Boarding
- Sensory Design Strategy: Creation of a material palette focused on texture (rough granite vs. smooth oxide) and tactile finishes.
- Space Optimization: Layout revisions to minimize circulation areas and create open-plan living or working zones.
- Lighting Design: Layered lighting plans specifically designed to highlight natural material textures and shadow play.
Furniture & Joinery Design
- Custom Furniture Drawings: Detailed shop drawings for bespoke fixed furniture (wardrobes, kitchen units) and loose furniture concepts.
- Staircase & Railing Details: Design of feature elements like helical metal stairs or floating steps.
- Ceiling & Wall Treatment: Design of non-standard ceiling finishes (exposed concrete, filler slabs) and wall paneling.
Sourcing & Styling
- Vendor Coordination: Specs for niche materials like Athangudi tiles, oxide pigments, or Corten steel.
- Art & Artifact Selection: Selection of decor and artifacts that complement the specific design aesthetic.
- Execution Supervision: Regular checks to ensure finishes match the design intent.

Terrain & Context Responsive Design
- Contour Mapping Integration: Designing split-level structures that align with natural slopes to minimize land flattening.
- Adaptive Reuse Planning: Structural assessment and redesign of existing dilapidated structures for transformation projects.
- View Maximization: Orientation of building blocks to frame specific valley views while maintaining privacy.
Sustainable Luxury Specifications
- Hyper-Local Material Sourcing: Specifications for using site-excavated mud, local timber, and stone to reduce transport costs.
- Weather-Proofing Details: Specialized roofing details and damp-proofing designed specifically for high-rainfall environments.
- Water & Waste Strategy: Planning for off-grid capabilities including soak pits, rainwater harvesting, and organic waste management.
Resort-Grade Amenities
- Outdoor Living Design: Detailed drawings for decks, gazebos, and infinity edge concepts.

About Sustainable Architecture & Interior Design
What Shapes My Designs
I don’t just throw up walls and call it a day. For me, every space should feel alive and connected to its surroundings. I design so nature isn’t just outside your window — it’s right there with you. You’ll see it in the way light moves through a room, or how a big old neem tree becomes the centerpiece of a cafe, not something to cut down.
How I Make Spaces Sustainable
- Biophilic architecture is at the core. I use big windows, open layouts, and green zones to blend the outdoors with the indoors.
- Local material sourcing is a must. Mud from the site, exposed brick, stone, wood — all those things that feel good under your feet and make sense for the climate.
- Passive cooling techniques show up all the time. Double-height spaces, clay jali screens, and skylights keep things cool without needing the AC running nonstop.
My Take on Interiors
Expect earthy modern interiors — think open plans, vaulted terracotta ceilings, and a mix of rustic and contemporary elements. You’ll find indoor planters and natural finishes that feel fresh, not fussy. I like spaces to breathe, so you get that sense of calm the moment you step inside.
What I Work On
I design homes, farmhouses, apartments, offices, cafes, resorts, and clubhouses. Each one is unique, but all are built with care for the land and the people using them.

My Story
We started out as a tiny practice, just an idea and a lot of dreams. Eighteen years later, it's honestly the people - team, clients, teachers - who shaped us. Still remember my Earth Institute days, those lessons in earth-based architecture never left us. Our team? Heart and soul, always. Clients, you let us push limits and try new things. Senscape is really just all of us, together, figuring it out.
My Work
What We Do - Architectural design, interiors, and master planning for homes, farmhouses, boutique resorts, cafes, and offices.
How We Design - We keep it simple and practical. Spaces should feel right, blend with what’s around. Not just sit on the land.
Nature and Sustainability - Love weaving nature in - courtyards, clay jali wall designs, recycled material interiors, even mud from the site.
Every Space, a Feeling - Buildings reflect you. Like our Still Home, where greys and forms bring calm and oneness.
