A view of the central swimming pool at Brigade Parkside East, designed as a key community interaction zone. The architecture avoids monolithic forms, instead creating varied blocks and multi-level colonnades that frame the common areas and encourage resident activity.
The central atrium at Parkside Retirement Homes is the heart of the community. We designed this multi-story space with a large skylight and indoor landscaping to bring in natural light and create visual connections between floors, fostering a sense of openness and interaction.
The new student hostel at IIM Bangalore respects the campus's original architectural language while addressing modern needs for density. The design features a porous, inviting entrance plaza and a central courtyard that has become a hub of student activity.
The Earth Villa at Svamitva Terravana showcases our design for holistic living. The building's form is a composition of stacked volumes, creating private balconies and shaded areas, while the use of earthy, natural materials connects the home to its landscape.
The entrance to Brigade Parkside East in Bengaluru. A triple-height colonnade acts as a transition from the busy street to the quiet interior, immediately introducing the central, cascading green terraces that form the core of the community.
At the IIM Bangalore hostel, we used large openings and framed views to break down the building's mass. This approach maintains a human scale and visually connects the interiors with the surrounding landscape, making the structure feel integrated and approachable.
This diagram illustrates our strategy for distributing amenities throughout Brigade Parkside East. Instead of a single clubhouse, we created a network of recreational spaces like a gym, pool, and party lawn across different blocks, activating the entire community.

About Multi-Family Residential Architecture

We don’t believe buildings have to scream to stand out. My approach to multi-family residential architecture is all about making spaces that feel like they truly belong - nothing flashy, nothing forced. More than twenty years in, I still think the best buildings are the ones that quietly fit in and grow with the people who live in them.

How I Design for People

  • No more boring matchbox blocks. I go for forms that break the monotony and create room for real connection. Think open courtyards, green spaces, and layouts that make huge projects feel personal.
  • Amenities aren’t stuffed in one spot. Instead, they're spread out, so every corner buzzes with life - a true community-focused apartment design.
  • Nature isn’t an afterthought. I keep trees, use central greens, and always connect homes to the outdoors. Feels much better than staring at concrete.
  • Well-being matters. Safe walkways, spaces for quiet and for gatherings, and zones where kids, elders, and everyone else can actually enjoy being outside.

Real Projects, Real Impact

  • Designed Brigade Parkside East in Bengaluru with car-free central zones and lively clusters of activity.
  • Senior living residential complexes, like Parkside Retirement Homes, where accessibility and dignity come first.
  • Student housing architectural design at IIM Bangalore, with breakout spaces and leafy courtyards that invite people to hang out.

What Sets Us Apart

Every site’s a puzzle. I let the land guide the plan, using slopes and views to shape each project. We use sustainable multifamily housing solutions like natural ventilation, local materials, and passive cooling - good for the environment and for living well.

My Story

Twenty years and counting, Mindspace is just a bunch of us, architects and dreamers, trying to make spaces feel alive. Our roots go deep with places like IIM Bangalore - Sanjay and Medappa have been at it since before Mindspace was even a thing. We learn by watching, by wandering through forts and temples, by listening to people move through their world. It’s not about loud statements, more about fitting in quietly, finding our corner in the bigger picture. We keep growing, together.

My Work

Campus and Institutional Design - We handle big projects - campus master planning, hostels, classrooms, dining halls, and more.

Humane Architecture - Our spaces are made for people, with courtyards and spillover zones to spark community and connection.

Context-Driven Approach - We study every detail of existing buildings, blending new design with old, always respecting the vibe.

Material and Form - Love exposed concrete, stone, and subtle details. Each building gets its own quiet, contemporary identity.
