At Seido Karate, I see karate as much more than kicks and punches. My specialized workshops and seminars go deeper, letting you explore what this journey can mean for you. These events aren’t just extra classes - they’re designed for real change, whether you join for skill, confidence, or just to connect with others.
Real-World Self-Defense
You know the saying, "Cry in the dojo, laugh on the battlefield"? That’s how I approach our real-world self-defense training. These workshops focus on practical skills - think defending against knife threats, learning takedowns, sparring combos. Doesn’t matter if you’re young or old, male or female, I make sure it’s accessible. Sometimes I bring in guest instructors for martial arts guest instructor sessions, like our Krav Maga deep dives. We also talk about safety beyond fighting, with POSH awareness sessions (Prevention of Sexual Harassment).
Breaking Barriers With Tameshiwari
Tameshiwari is about much more than smashing boards. It’s mental - it’s about believing in yourself, focusing, and seeing what you can do. Everyone gets a shot, from kids to seniors. It’s a real rush breaking through your limits.
Mind-Body Connection & Meditation
Karate isn’t just about the body. My mind-body meditation workshops run regularly, and sometimes we even head outside for Gasshuku camps. It’s all about finding your center and letting go.
Community Vibes
I open most events to families and friends too - no need to already be a student. For me, it’s about building real connections and sharing positive energy.
