Prenatal Yoga Classes for a Balanced Pregnancy
Move from passive rest to mindful activity. These classical Hatha sessions help you build a safe, independent practice to support your health and your baby's development.
Many people believe pregnancy means complete rest, but that’s not always true. Here is Krithika, active and strong in her 7th month. She found her second pregnancy was much smoother and her post-delivery recovery was quicker after following this path. This is the power of mindful, guided movement. Please do not attempt this practice without proper guidance.
It brings me so much joy to see mothers connect with their babies during our sessions. Anushka, in her 6th month, shared that she could feel her baby become more active, kicking almost every day in class. This program is not just for you; it's a shared experience for you and your little one.
Creating the right vibrations for you and your baby is a core part of my prenatal program. Simple yet powerful chants and sounds can bring immense peace and stability. This is a gentle introduction to Nada Yoga, the yoga of sound, which nurtures the life blossoming within you.
Your breath is directly connected to your state of mind. During pregnancy, simple breathing techniques, or pranayam, can be a powerful tool to manage stress, improve sleep, and calm anxiety. Here, I demonstrate a gentle practice, focusing on slow, full, and conscious breaths.
My own journey from being a Chartered Accountant to an Isha Hatha Yoga teacher has been one of deep transformation. People sometimes say I don't "dress up" anymore, but I've learned to see myself by closing my eyes, not by looking in a mirror. This inner shift is what I hope to share with you.
As Sadhguru explains, we are literally manufacturing the next generation. The environment a mother is in, the sounds she hears, and the emotions she feels all shape the new life. This ancient wisdom is the foundation of my prenatal yoga program, adapted for our modern lives.
What you eat is vital during pregnancy. A yogic diet focuses on live, vibrant foods that increase your energy, or prana. Sprouted green gram is a wonderful example, packed with nutrition that is easily accessible for both you and your baby.
About Featured
This program is not about drop-in sessions; it is a structured 3-day workshop designed to make you self-reliant. You learn a complete Hatha Yoga routine, including specific pelvic floor strengthening and breathing techniques, which you can safely practice on your own at home without an instructor. We focus on alignment and internal stability rather than complex poses or heavy equipment.
Beyond Gentle Stretching
Pregnancy is a time of immense change, and many women are told to avoid movement altogether. My experience as a student and teacher has shown that the right, mindful movement is not just safe but deeply beneficial. We focus on Classical Hatha Yoga—a system that relies on your own body and breath, without the need for music, ropes, or blocks.
What the Workshop Covers
- Independent Practice: You spend 3 days learning a routine that you take home. This ensures you can continue the practice throughout your pregnancy.
- Breathwork (Pranayama): We practice techniques like Nadi Shuddhi to manage anxiety and improve oxygenation, which directly impacts your sleep quality and energy levels.
- Nada Yoga & Chanting: Using the science of sound, we practice AUM chanting to create a stable and nurturing environment for both you and your baby.
- Yogic Diet: We discuss simple, energy-dense foods, like green gram sprouts, to support your nutritional needs.
1-on-1 Sessions in Gurgaon & Sonipat
For those who prefer a private setting or need modifications for specific pregnancy complications like sciatica or swelling, I offer at-home sessions. These are 75-minute visits where we adapt the standard Isha sequences to match your current energy levels and set up a dedicated space for your daily practice.
Why Practice This Way?
Many mothers report that this routine makes their second or third trimester much smoother. It is not about fitness or weight loss; it is about establishing a high-energy environment within yourself. If you are curious, I recommend the 3-day workshop as your starting point to learn the foundational practices correctly.
