International Day of Yoga celebrations at our studio
Every June 21st, I open our doors and virtual spaces to celebrate yoga. These sessions go beyond the mat to explore philosophy, hormonal health, and the ancient wisdom that keeps us balanced.
This is the invitation for our 2024 International Day of Yoga event, which focused on women empowerment. We were honored to host a guest speaker for a session on the Patanjali Sutra, followed by mantra meditation.

About Celebrating International Day of Yoga
These sessions are not just about performing asanas on a specific date. In our recent workshops, we explored 'Yogah Chittaha Vruttihi Nirodaha' from the Patanjali Sutras, helping students understand how discipline creates true inner peace, alongside deep-dive sessions on how yoga supports hormonal health and your body's natural rhythms.
Celebrating Beyond the Mat
I believe that every day is an opportunity for wellness, but the International Day of Yoga allows us to pause and reflect on the deeper aspects of our practice. At San Yoga Studio, we use this time to unite our community—or as we say, 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam', meaning the world is one family.
What We Explore
During these annual sessions, we move away from standard routines to focus on:
- Yogic Philosophy: We discuss texts like the Patanjali Sutras, translating ancient concepts into practical tools you can use when life feels chaotic.
- Targeted Wellness: I often host sessions focused on specific health needs, such as hormonal balance, where we look at how the body functions as a complex, interconnected system.
- Guided Meditation: We integrate mantra chanting and meditation, which are core to our practice of calming the mind.

Distance never limits our community. Whether you are walking into our Yeshwanthpur studio or connecting with us via Zoom from across the globe, these sessions are designed to be interactive.
