See what happens when the stage lights go off. From raw studio jams and travel diaries to the creation of my original songs, this is the story behind the music of the Murshid band.

The stage is set for a "Sham-e-Sufiyana" at a wedding reception. This is a glimpse of our setup before the guests arrive and the magic begins.

A look back at my first original Sufi song, "Maula Karde Karam," which I wrote, composed, and sang myself. It was released in 2017 and remains very close to my heart.

A live cover of the beautiful song "Zihal-e-Miskeen," recorded in a studio session. I love recreating these masterpieces with my own touch while honoring the original composers.

The full video of our cover of "Halka Halka Suroor". This was a special project by Visage World, and we put a lot of heart into this studio production.

A promotional video showcasing the essence of a Sufi performance: a blend of "Shayeri, Gayeki, and Adayegi" (poetry, singing, and expression).

A promotional clip for my band, Murshid, performing live at a big fat Indian wedding. This shows the grand scale and energy we bring to your most important events.

Safarnama. Our journey with music takes us to many beautiful places. A quick clip from one of our travels for a destination wedding.

A glimpse from our jamming sessions. This is where we experiment with new sounds and perfect our arrangements before bringing them to the stage.

Behind the scenes at a video shoot for a new Murshid song. A lot of hard work and passion goes into creating these projects.

More from our jamming sessions. Here's an unplugged, heartfelt rendition of "Akhiyan Udeek Diyan" as we rehearse in the studio.

About Additional Work & Behind The Scenes

It takes 14 skilled musicians and hours of studio rehearsal to get that signature 'Live & Loud' sound right. Before every wedding performance, we spend time perfecting the blend of tabla, dholak, and electric guitar arrangements to ensure our fusion sound hits exactly the right note for your event.

Music is a discipline, and what you see on stage is only the final result of our intense preparation. My band, Murshid, is not just a group of musicians; we are a family dedicated to the craft of Sufi fusion. Whether we are in the studio fine-tuning a track or rehearsing for a destination wedding, the goal is always to create an authentic 'Mehfil' experience.

We document these moments because they show the real work that goes into live performances. You will see clips from our jam sessions where we experiment with arrangements, balancing the classical tabla and dholak with modern electric guitars and keyboards. This fusion is not easy to get right. It requires a deep understanding of both traditional Ghazals and contemporary Bollywood tracks.

My journey involves constant learning. I look back at my original tracks, like 'Maula Karde Karam' released in 2017, as milestones in my career. These projects, along with our studio covers like 'Zihal-e-Miskeen', help us grow as a band. When we travel for events across India, these behind-the-scenes memories are what keep our team bond strong.

If you are curious about how we prepare for your event, take a look at these clips. It is about passion, 14 dedicated musicians, and a commitment to keeping the music pure. We don't use canned tracks. Everything is played live, and every song is a conversation with the audience.
